I had been recieving emails about kotak league platinum ltf pre approved credit card for months( have kotak 811 account with them). Tried applying for it but couldn't since their app was glitching out.

Recieved call 2 days ago from kotak regarding the same offer , they took the request on call.

Yesterday recieved message of kotak application rejection and in email their reason is "evaluation of credit history not satisfactory". After this email i checked my cibil report and they have done 2 enquiries on cibil.
Even after they rejected my application they've been sending me communications regarding ltf pre approved league platinum cc. Absolute stupid bank.

Does anyone know any nodal officer mail that i can escalate this to?.

On a lighter note: Ashneer Grover banjaooo On a serious note: yes reach out to nodal officer directly mentioning the screenshots. Like Dhani fixed this issue of hampering CIBIL, I'm sure kotak can fix it too

Very hard to get any credit card from them…. 


Have fd based credit card… Spent more than 2 lakh on it… Still didn’t received any offer for credit card…. 


Has done good amount of transactions on it… If I would have done same on hdfc.. Would have got sure pre approved card…. 


Only thing good is free account with no sms charges and virtual card… But now jupiter and fi are there… So no use of it…. Only good thing about them is they give equal offers mostly for both dc and cc….

Kotak’s definition for Pre-Approved cards is different from others. When i applied for this League Platinum LTF, it took them about a week to approve the card (So, no instant approval like other banks). 

And i got an sms/email from kotak that CC is approved three days post VCC appeared on the mobile app 😄

It's a weird bank , their explanation for rejection is so stupid. If you have already rejected my application then stop calling and emailing me about the card again, this bank is definitely high on something.

Only wanted for e-commerce offers and since it was ltf didn’t mind adding it to my purse. Had no idea they would hit the cibil twice even for pre approved offer.

Dont Apply Kotak Card Through Agents They Will Definitely Do Cibil Hit And Paid Card. 

In Kotak App Go To CC Section – U Can Check There For LTF Offer ( Joining And Annual Fee Shows As Zero

In Ur Case Wait For PreApproved Card In APP 

For PreApproved Kotak Cards – NO CIBIL Will Hit

In My Case – I Applied For Kotak League LTF Approved On Next Day

Delivered In 2 Days

I think you need to approach banking ombudsman with all the proofs of prior communication with the bank at all levels from CC to principal nodal officer. Then only you can approach banking ombudsman. It is mentioned on RBI website.

Strange coincidence.
Yesterday, seen pre-approved royale signature card in account but annual fees was 999₹ so haven’t applied.
Called customer care and asked for any ltf card. They said it’s automatic and if any ltf cards you can see in app.

Today afternoon got a call from kotak customer care about same card stating it’s ltf, I asked for a mail they dropped it.
Then I applied through the call itself just by confirming address.
Let’s see, will update once card is delivered

Kotak CC are crooks - even I did mistake of applying on call (repeated) and to my surprise I found out it wasn't LTF
Rejected delivery (CIBIL enquiry already made :| )

The more shocking response is when I presented whole fraud case to them they replied KOTAK Don't offer LTF cards, the height of audacity for them to say this when every 2 days they send a mail stating you're pre-approved for LTF card - CONTRADICTION!!

Conclusion: Stay away from Kotak products - Banking is sufficient do that only - don't need other things when one doesn't stand true on their words and lie

Kotak is really a joke,
So I complained on RBI portal for misleading abt credit card,

Getting calls from kotak now -> 
Now saying that your Annual fee will be waived off on X amount of spend -> to which I said 1st when CC called to apply for card it was said LTF and no spend waiver system (the kotak person is like they must have told you it's mandatory to tell about fee) then I told them about mail that I received of LTF and they're like it's not sent from us, I forwarded them mail and they're like let me check with manager (another level crooks or misinformed guys)

I mean literally the mail is from kotak ([email protected]) which we get I would say on daily basis of debit card and CC and what not all useless offers.

I would say stay away from other products unless you're getting good deal with banking service

Got My Kotak Card approved Today only.

Applied thru Agent.

They offer me Many Kotak cards but with annual spend waiver basis, Only Urbane Gold they infomed pure LTF.

I took it (Even if they dint keep their words, only 15000 spends needed to get the waiver)

Just got this card for Bank offers. Not much with rewards.

Num 1 bakwas bank, i have debit card, daily 4 messages(like bf, lunch, snacks, diner) join kotak 811 savings account, if i click join it says, u already have debit acount,, not Applicable for u. Wen i called cs, dey said we can’t do anything becos its Autogenrated, i asked to remove my num they sory we can’t. Kya ajeeb log hai yar

Some facts about kotak bank credit card department:

1. If anyone outside of your kotak home branch(where your acc is) calls saying “pre-approved” “ltf” etc etc offer then they are lying.

2. If you ever see any “pre-approved” offer in your kotak netbanking then never apply for it because it is fake.

3. If kotak app glitches during anything credit card offer related then never expect customer care to resolve/resume the process, only wait for email with a link offering same thing(card/limit enhancement) & click on it.

P.S. all kotak card offers apply equally on both debit & credit cards with same cb limits so pointless to get any kotak credit card when one can get kotak 811 acc with zero charges & free virtual debit card.

Contacted Kotak customer care who told that the cooldown period once Kotak CC application rejected is 6 months. They also basically confirmed what I had personally experienced after first Kotak CC rejection - that "pre qualified credit card" or seeing an offer in Kotak app means nothing - they still ask for income proof/docs and hard CIBIL enquiry of course. It's the exact same as applying on your own without any "pre qualified" offer.🙄

Despite wording like "pre approved", they are saying they will require income docs. No difference vs applying on your own. Their Twitter customer care confirmed me this.
