[Updated] Birthdate & Birthday Month Offer List

It's my birthday month and was looking for a good thread on same but couldn't find any with all the information in one place, so would request admins to create a Wiki so that it benefits people from time to time.

I'm mentioning all I know about birthday and birthday month offers updated as of now :

1. Birthdate :

- IDFC First Bank credit cards will give 10X reward points of your birthdate (1 day only) with highest reward rate of 1.67% on Wealth credit card.

I would suggest not to transact as soon clock hits 12 AM, rather at least wait for a few hours or for safer side, transact in the morning, post 5:30 AM. Why am I saying so? It's because when I had RBL Bank Edition Classic (Zomato) credit card, I did a few transaction at around 12:30 AM and didn't get any cashback for it as the transaction was recorded on a day prior, had to fight with RBL Bank on this.

- Selected AU Small Finance Bank credit cards give bonus reward points on birthday for doing one retail transaction
Kindly check details on website as the reward points vary from variant to variant, like Vetta gives 1,000 reward points and Zenith gives 2,500 reward points.


2. Birthday month :

- Third Wave Coffee gives a FREE beverage of the smallest size and can be availed anytime in the whole birthday month.
Simply use the Third Wave Coffee app, use the code BIRTHDAY and you're good to go. I'm unsure if the same can be availed by dining in at the store or not, will update this later on.

UPDATE (Third Wave Coffee birthday month offer) :

One need to spend at least Rs. 500 in a year to get this offer and if one has signed up in the birthday month, then the offer cannot be redeemed in the same month, it can be redeemed next year ... some FAQs related to the offer :

- Starbucks gives a FREE beverage of the smallest size and can be availed anytime in the whole birthday month.
You need to sign up on their app (you can DM for referral), by doing this, you'll be enrolled into their rewards membership. The condition to avail a FREE beverage in birthday month is, you need to have spent at least Rs. 600 in a year (don't know if it's calendar year or birthday year). I'm also unsure how does the whole rewards system works (if someone can enlighten on this in the comments, please do so).

UPDATE (25-May-2024) :

For Starbucks, I downloaded the app in my birthday month itself. Since I hadn't spent Rs. 600 or more in a year, reward for FREE tall beverage in birthday month wasn't visible. I did first transaction on 13th May and my birthday is on 19th May. Since Starbucks is running a promotion of 50% off on tall beverage and I like cold coffee, I somehow completed Rs. 600 worth transactions by 24-May with one transaction done before birthdate and rest 3 transactions post birthdate but all the transactions cumulative of Rs. 600 or more in birthday month itself and voila, the reward for FREE tall beverage month unlocked on 25-May with validity of 31-May which is end of birthday month.
Conclusion - Spending at least Rs. 600 in a year is accounted till the end of birthday month irrespective of when you signed up or even if all the transactions are carried out after your birthdate (specific date which is in my case 19-May), what matters in this offer is birthday month, that's it ... hope it helps others

P.S. Getting good quality bean cold coffee at Rs. 152 turned out to be a good deal for me personally, else I would've never been able to try out 4 drinks to unlock birthday month offer from Starbucks ... not the best deal out there but a really good one considering how much I love cold coffee.

- SBI debit card reward points at 2X rate with capping of additional birthday bonus of 200 points
Normal reward rate is 2 points per Rs. 200 spent of SBI debit card but for birthday month, it would be 4 points per Rs. 200 spent with a capping of 200 bonus birthday points and monthly limit of 1,000 points remains as-is including birthday bonus points.
