Not a fan of these items, Ghar ka khana hi khata hoon.
Many pulses have lots of protein, there are similarly many other veg sources with protein. There is no excuse to take protein supplements for non-athletic/non-gym going ppl who eat only veg food.
Nothing compares to whey protein....all other sources are pale in front of whey...I would suggest look for some offers or discounts to buy indian brand whey like myprotein ( british brand ) or Healthxp...keep the service size half to avoid acne and flatulence ( drawbacks of cheaper version of whey).
Indian brands have improved dramatically in last 5 years...good products.
Once has ensure as doc recommended after operation, never ever consumed any other brand.
I consume Sprouts and paneer for the best source (mushroom as well but i can't have it due to its shape and texture).
Occasionally soya (as heard it may develop man breast and also in ancient times it was used to fat pigs as it doesn't digest easily).
I would suggest stick to natural resources (if u are non veg u can have that as well) and avoid suppliments.
Rest ur choice
Which operation?
I don't have the details but testing costs in total amounted to Rs 7 lakhs. The identity of the labs had to kept secret off late after they had to face the wrath of the pseudoscientific AYUSH groups after rigorous testing made it clear that their formulations were highly contaminated with toxic heavy metals besides others.
Proteinex and especially Ensure are a near total waste of money.
If Soya chunks are well tolerated (taste is not a concern and no allergies to Soy) then their defatted version (45-50g protein/100g) could be considered after consulting with the doctor. Alternatively Soya protein concentrate in meals rather than shakes like Whey.
