Amazon pay card 5 percent cash is a gimmick don’t fall for that. I have been using this card for more than 2 years, mostly I used that to purchase goods on Amazon prime or pay bills using amazon pay but mostly I got 2 percent of the payment at end of the month. There is no detailed billing of how much cashback we availed for each transaction either from ICICI or Amazon. Sacrificing all benefits and getting 2 percent is a waste when compared to HDFC regalia card where they run cashback event Quater for 2 to 5k also we have 5 percent cashback through smart buy and payzapp.

Recently, I saw Axis Ace credit card being recommended in Google Pay. Flat 2% cashback except for Rent and Wallet load. This looks very attractive and simple.
Because, right now, I use the mix of below to best reward rate
Amex – 20,000 in a month gets 2000 points = ~4%
Flipkart Axis – 1.5% flat for most transactions
ICICI Amazon Pay – 2% Bill-Pay when not covered in anything else.
HDFC Regalia – I am not able to complete the annual milestone. So, the reward rate looks absymal.
Whenever there are offers running, I obviously choose the card to get 5% or 10%. At all other times, I end up using mostly Flipkart Axis for wide acceptance and flat 1.5%.

If I pay rent with cred or others, it has a service charge on CC payment, which is more than what we get as CB, like 1% for Apay ICICI card. How do you manage that? Any way to avoid these service charges?

Apply for HDFC Milennia or Regalia if eligible of you use these card you will definitely get upgraded to diners club or Infinia in a year or 2.
