Which company is best for Windows AC ?

LG, Blue Star.

Got Carrier in 2018 for office and is working fine- Not even a single service done so far.

Go with either Carrier or LG or Ogenearal. Never purchase Hitachi window AC, their PCB is low quality built and easily gets damaged after 2-3 years.

go for LG, bought 1 in 2007, worked till 2018, bought another one last year, working fine as of now

Tell some best brands for Split AC with longevity?

If u can , go with window (longer life less complications).

Brands u can choose ogeneral, mitshubishi in top.

If low in budget- u can go with voltas, daikin, blue star, carrier (least preferred).

Yep, so far so good but usage is little less. Around 3-4 hrs daily.

Cooler master, belkin etc are nice windows ac. Check them on amazon.it cools your windows pc

How is lloyd ? Thinking of buying window ac of lloyd

Today most of the AC companies are contract manufacturer. 70-80% of them are manufactured @ Haryana or nearby zone. Just sticker changes. MarQ/EurekaForbes/Voltas/Lloyd their remote are same just name changes.

Agree.. Other good one are Ogeneral & Daikin. Windows are bit noisy plus very few models with Inverter technology. Windows always make a irritating    sould while starting/shutdown of compresssor. I would preffer Split only with Inverter technology. Agar AC me confortable sleep  na mile to kya faida.. Bhai one can easily do the basic servicing by self just wash outer grill with water pipe making a bit pressure flow holding thumb at the the edge (better keep the flow direction a bit vertical) dont worry compressor chamber is concealed reasonable good. Then  take out front filter and wash them under running tap plus take a soft brush (old tooth brush) and carefully clean the iron grill in the indoor unit behind the filter, u can use water with mild soap also avaoid near pcb chamber. Just cleaning the dust filtet after 15-20 days of usage make a lot of difference... All the best

I got samsung windfree with 5 years comprehensive warranty . Otherwise LG is also good with 5 years PCB warranty .

Get it serviced! U will save electricity. Will cool quickly when serviced and cleaned

Never buy a window AC. They are an antique piece. It made sense 20+ years ago, but not now.

It is inefficient compared to split AC. Its 5 star is equivalent to the 3 star of split AC and its 3 star is equivalent to 1 star or worse.

Even if you are living on rent, or has transferable job, it is far better to buy split AC and handle the cumbersome part of shifting it.

I know because my family had bought a good window AC in 2010. Main reason because dad had transferable job and wanted to shift it to our real home when job is over. It used so much power than we hardly ever used it. I think it used some 2.5units per hour or something. It was used for about 100 hours total use till 2014. Just for one hour at night on hottest days.

Then it was shifted when we changed house. Guess what, it was not feasible to be installed in this house due to how its room and windows are, if we installed, our entire window would have been blocked, and thus it remained unused from 2014 to 2018. Then one summer tried to fit it somehow at one place. Used for maybe 20 hours. After that never used. Still sitting there gathering dust in working condition till 2023.

At the same time, there was two godrej split AC installed in this house in 2008. It is still functional in 2023, even though it was never maintained, but had no issues.

Samsung stopped its 5 year warranty thing on 31 dec 2022. Now only 1 year. Plus 10 year on compressor. Most other companies give 5 year on PCB.

I have two godrej split acs that was installed in 2008. Never serviced. Never cleaned outdoor unit. It still works properly. Maybe cooling speed decreased a bit, but still everything works perfectly.

ACs generally last very long I think... I do not have experience with the newer inverter ACs.

My experience is horrible with LG 

The unit needs service every 3 months else it is not effective. This is conveyed by official LG technician to me.

Faced issues with its fan motor just after 1 month of warranty expiry. They charged me around 3500.

There are issues with water drainage of window AC it collects water and emits foul smell.

The technicians and installation team is really very poor.

They have used a kind of foam in air conditioner. It cannot be washed. It is a breading ground of dust mites.
