Condoms were never introduced for extra pleasure, only as a contraceptive barrier. So males should not expect any additional pleasure, only delay in orgasm can be expected. Only thing that is to be considered which one minimizes the loss of pleasure. Obviously the thinner the variety, lesser the loss of pleasure for the male.
For females, anything extra on the surface like dots enhances pleasure. Delay in male orgasm is a bonus for females.
