Why Amazon is better than Flipkart any day (Amazon has become even worse than Flipkart nowadays)

Update : Never expected that Amazon would go to the dogs so soon.
I have bought many mobiles from Flipkart over a period of years. There have been at least 5 instances when the price of the mobile came down (once as high as 1000 bucks) within two or three days of delivery. Not a single time have they compensated it so far in the form of a GV or wallet money. Every time those parrots keep repeating the same old thing… Prices depend on the seller and we cannot do anything about it, blah, blah, blah… Even though the seller has been WSRetail in all these instances. Since I’m not used to persuasive or coercive talking, I just listen to this sh!t and cut the call.
Had this been Amazon, things would happen exactly the opposite way. If Both Amazon and Flipkart continue with what they are doing, I’m sure Flipkart will be watered down by Amazon very soon.
Mark my words, Flipkart: “Your days are numbered!”
YOU!

Arey, you are presuming that he or the agent he spoke to did not already escalate the matter to their leadership team. By the way, they also call their floor supervisors a part of their leadership team and those guys are as useless as the first level reps when it comes to promotion details or something tricky.
As I mentioned, Jeff does welcome customer complaints so I won’t consider this “over escalation”.
By the way, I would have loved to see your responses had you been in this situation of getting 15K of your own money stuck. Oh wait! You would have never executed on the purchase before getting a confirmation about the promotion T&Cs from Jeff Bezos himself. And even after that, you might have continued asking me or others. You know, just to cover all the angles.

Hello,
I’m Anjana from the Amazon.in Executive Customer Relations team. Your experience has been brought to my attention, and I look forward to helping.
I’m sorry to learn about the experience you’ve had with your order. I’ve checked with our internal team and they’ve confirmed that your order is eligible for the Cashback.
Having said that and as per the events that took place with the previous associates, appropriate coaching and feedback will be provided. Our customer service leadership team is investigating this to plan a course of action to improve our services further. Additionally, I’ve shared this instance with the appropriate teams internally, so that such instances are worked upon going further, for a better customer experience.
Once again, I’m sorry that your experience hasn’t been as positive as anticipated. I hope you’ll consider this as an isolated incident and give us another chance to serve you again in the future. Should you have any further queries, feel free to write back to us by replying to this email and we’ll be glad to assist you further.
We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to seeing you soon…

Good job! First of all it shouldn’t be so difficult for any customer to find out about terms of an offer but good that they bothered to acknowledge the issue and ensure to act on it.

Rajrocks can ask @admin too for clarification.
Now, Jeff and Anjana both can take lunch / supper peacefully.
Queries
1. Whether such cash back offer can be claimed by any1 now , based upon such mail or follow path of @@Viewseeker rocks ?
2. Why not they introduce a code to give first hand confirmation about the cb at the time of checkout.by giving notional discount of re 1, subject to max. Cb on a primary acc, that will avoid undue damage control and selling point.
That way I like paytm very good. One website used to give notional discount , can’t recall the name. May be indiaplaza.
@Achilles @RDX
3. Magus and Jeff r connected. So he can access lightening deals even prior to prime customers.

Nah, you can reply to this email from Anjana and tell her to not cancel the order now that she has assured you about the cashback.

@Magus Check PM.
So does it mean all gift cards are not eligible for SBI offer ? woohoo, ticket compliments, cleartrip etc etc ?
Woops! Completely missed this tag from you because of all the issues with DD’s site.
Anyway, what I told @Magus yesterday via PM was the following:
I am almost certain you will the get the cashback from SBI. Reason: Amazon rarely changes their policy for bank cashback offers and almost every bank offer has provided cashback on Ticket/Woohoo cards.
I also conveyed the same to @rajrocks via PM when he contacted me about it yesterday. Anyway, so as mentioned in the T&Cs, you will get the cashback for everything but the Amazon.in GCs and gold coins.

Thank you so much for the reply. I had a chat with customer care exec and he told that all gift cards are excluded from the cashback.
But I know customer rep from Amazon don’t have any information and are not consistent.

You are welcome, bro. Just wanted to make sure you don’t miss out on this offer and the above proof posted by Magus.
As for Amazon customer care, here is my second PM sent to Magus immediately after that last one: “Their CC is clueless when it comes to details about the T&Cs, especially when it comes to gift cards…”

@Achilles @RDX…
They need not do even that. Just showing a message that the order is eligible for cashback once we enter the card details is enough. This is one thing Amazon can learn from Flipkart who do it in cases of both instant discount and cashback offers.

it’s been a very bad month for me with amazon cc… first made a complaint that no bottle item is shippable to any part of my disctrict, my nearby city suddenly from super value day.
then made a mistake of giving a number wrong in my phone number in one of my orders and i immediately went to chat and cc said he will change it, but later came to my nearby city and stayed there for 4-5 days saying address not accessible and everyday i went to chat with no use… .atlast found out the bluedart local number and asked them to deliver
@Alpha.Barood wrote:
I ordered a Asus Selfie in 13k , but could not taken the delivery yesterday. So cancelled .
Booked same product in 12k – 1200 cash back y day, and called to take back first one.
Now , @Magus made them cry with Ammakick.
I purchased Yu Yureka plus when it was in demand. And there were flash sales on Amazon.in and the day I purchased it. It was @9999/-. But when it was delivered to me after 2 days its price gone down by 1000/- and one call came to me from Amazon and they told me that they will credit 1000/- Gift card balance. That’s good service by Amazon because I was unaware of the price down of that mobile. Amazon called me from there own.

So amazon (india) refunded you the excess amount any time in the past ?
Yes, once for a laptop bag and then for a usb mouse. I’ve bought only one mobile from Amazon so far and the price remained the same for a long time.
I am sure this is the thing of past now. I recently ordered with Amazon and to my surprise within hours the price of article came down by 100. I tried contacting Amazon if they can do something about it and how bad I felt as the prices dropped but nothing happened they denied to provide any refund gv or consolation. But the thing was I couldn’t cancel the order because of time constraints.
So its not about flipkart or amazon I believe they both are doing things to survive which is quite hard for both of them now. Think of the time when Amazon has the monopoly it will be entirely different from what it is now, so I will always want fk to atleast be there as a competitor. I have seen how Amazon does behaves where it has monopoly in certain countries.
What a transition in a few months!
Any admin or mod, please change the title to: Amazon is no better than Flipkart nowadays
