Update : Never expected that Amazon would go to the dogs so soon.
I have bought many mobiles from Flipkart over a period of years. There have been at least 5 instances when the price of the mobile came down (once as high as 1000 bucks) within two or three days of delivery. Not a single time have they compensated it so far in the form of a GV or wallet money. Every time those parrots keep repeating the same old thing… Prices depend on the seller and we cannot do anything about it, blah, blah, blah… Even though the seller has been WSRetail in all these instances. Since I’m not used to persuasive or coercive talking, I just listen to this sh!t and cut the call.
Had this been Amazon, things would happen exactly the opposite way. If Both Amazon and Flipkart continue with what they are doing, I’m sure Flipkart will be watered down by Amazon very soon.

Their delivery system was always a different story.
Now the issues have begun to occur at the very core of their system. I sense a lot of discrepancies in their operations in the recent days.

Then when I told its not ATS but India post she told me that they have direct communication with India post delivery men too. She went to the extent of telling me that right now she is passing a ‘strict’ communication to get the product delivered by 11am Today. Even if someone had least common sense they would know how India post works. Finally when I asked for a supervisor she was quiet for a while and replied stating that she has created a replacement with 2-day delivery. I told her straight away how wrong she was in handling the issue and all she had was to thank me and asked me for a positive feedback.

Look at my case. A product was meant to deliver with one-day delivery but it didn’t. No spot of bother for me but then look at their audacity, ATS guys returned that parcel and the system started showing Refund issued with 24-48 hours notification. As the product was important to me I asked them about the scenario and let them clear the picture. One guy in their chat support assured me that he has raised the issue with ATS and the product will get delivered today. I knew he has done nothing and waited for the end of the day to give them more time as usual. Nothing happened and later when I contacted them again and insisted on the delivery of product. The next chat guy tried to dupe me saying he’s cancelled the refund and the concerned team will investigate into it(24-48 hours) to make sure the product gets delivered. Once again I realised this one is also hiding in the bush. Asked him to connect to the supervisor, he made an attempt but it seemed everyone was busy and none could. When I asked him to send me an email of the statement which he raised with their team, that guy mailed me the ongoing chat transcript and called it as a proof to follow up later. Then I tightened up the screws and lambasted him like hell. And from no where that poor guy showed some sanity and re-placed the new order of the same from his end. For me problem solved and I received the product next day at the expense of no additional costs but just one more day.
Luckily for that noob, he learned something substantial that day without the direct intervention of one of the supervisors who are no better than their junior fellas.
Actually I never speak to them on phone or email when there are such issues. I hold them for a longer time till they get some sense that they are not speaking to someone who thinks would be impressed by their flowery language of “strict” "personal follow up etc. Without proper handling of these India CC guys you can’t get anything done. It was different before and have started seeing this trend from the days Prime started. They have at least 10-15 sets of pre-typed sentences/paragraphs that they copy paste for anything they think has those keywords. You need to get them to realise that we are not some noobs by trapping them in their own words and that is when they would start looking into the issue. Press them a bit hard and they would break giving you a proper solution which was supposed to be done in the very first instance. I still don’t hate amazon because I know with right handling we can get our issue resolved. I always give in to their words in the first contact and second contact is when I wouldn’t leave them without a solution.

Agree, calls were always better to get issues resolved previously. Now if you call the second time they would just refuse to acknowledge that you contacted them and a solution was agreed upon. So its better to have chat histories and recently did I realise that they have stopped sending chat reports too. It now only depends on the person who is attending our call/chats. There was an issue few weeks back and it was resolved by the chat agent without any hassles. Maybe diwali offers/sales have messed up their CC/logistics.
