Don’t know what happened here, but deals in general have dried up.
As far as DD goes, they can’t keep their front page empty, so something or the other is gonna get promoted at all times ( might or might not be sponsored)
True.
I use DD just for Dost and Dimes section.
Gone are those golden loot days when deals used to be really good.
Suggestion – Add restriction on number of deals a person can vote up in a day

I don’t do usually.
But last was maybe few mins ago.
Most I hate about deals is when just a product link & name is added in deal description without anything else like why OP felt its a good deal.. any price comparison or product review nothing.
Plain product name & link.. that too not just to post 1st and edited later to include other details, but is left as that.

DD cares about affiliate and those trash deals can help the site to get money. People waste their time, they get like 10-20 dimes while site makes a lot of money. Suppose if they show some loot in FPD, price will be less so no commission.
It is also since DD wants to earn money from referral links so they will show something as hot or FPD but may not be. Like I have some Ganesh chopper come up so many times on hot deals and I am sure at this point Ganesh people pay DD to feature their product.
OK here’s the solution (filter) 
Suppose user @justforcoupon is trying to upvote another deal from @Siddhartha07 and error pops up
“Oops you’ve already voted many of his deals off late”
PS this filter should not be applied to @rajrocks 😛

hum log ek dusre ko boht support karte hain, sab FK ops, sab regular deal posters, kyun ki baaki jaada log toh hai nahi appreciate karne ke liye, max log faida lete hai aur silently next deal mein badte hai earn karne ke liye 
On a serious note,
Admins have strict standards against them who vu every other deal, if they notice such things happening on a daily basis/any pattern, they did reduce the hotness that particular dimer can add who misused the vu feature and they’ll again restrict the user from vuing in future too, fair enough.
No PEs.. & very few good deals (rare*)
So.. the FP is filled with deals that got more hotness than the rest
IMO, threads with no/little user-interaction post-promotion ( Vote up / Comments ) should be removed from FP
+ the ones w/ very less price difference compared to prev-best (<5%) too (unless its a very popular deal)
DD should limit a particular user how manu deals he can upvote or vu and can not keep favouring a particular set of users deal upvotings

Monthly limit of 2 deals of a specific users
10/2=5
Can not repeat the users deal upvoted this month in consecutive month’s
Or they can implement this at backend ao that even they keep trying it has no effect on fpd page
Put limits on category wise daily fpd deals
Like not more than 40% of a page are covered by similar category deals.
DD may not be only for loot deals.
DD & Dimers can’t produce loot deals if it is not available in the market.
Dimers can only bring here best deals available in the market
& I am sure that everyone here is is doing 100 % justice to do that
And about this drying up of good deals , you will find that
every year you will find threads that the last few years
were much better as people want more & more.
There is a thing called seasonality. Feb to Sep are lean period so deals will be few. Things will pick up when the festive season kickstarts with Ganesh Chaturthi.
Also, CCI really squeezed AZ-FK’s balls this time due to monopolistic practices. They have to lie low for some time. No dimer forgot the farce called prime day this year. Top it up with 3rd wave of Covid looming and you’ll get why things may have somewhat dried up.
Reciprocal likes are as old as social media. I see your point but what’s new? Don’t bother about others

Kindly go thru the thread , complaint, you scratch my back i scratch your back cocept used by many dimers , even third class nonsense deals get hotness and ultimately its a loss to desidime *, *many dimers here are saying the same , and its a fact .
Kindly do something regarding this as some really good deal gets missed because of this loophole exploited by selfish dimers
