I think the tweet was intentional. He tried his best in past too, to create few controversial tweets but they didn't made him noticed. With this tweet his profile hot standout (even on - ve front)as Ppl started attacking him. His average tweet views were under 1k (or around) but with this single tweet the reach grew to 33k+.

Maybe that was the intention, as people say negative publicity is also publicity.
