Will hsbc shut down india.. Or their indian business
6 years???? What is actual value u have to pay and what is interest on it?
more then 2 lakhs
@jobster.vijay441 I googled but couldn’t find any good references for current year. There were some layoffs last year and branch closure during 2016.
Please post the reference, otherwise remove/edit your post accordingly.

your loan will be sold to a asset reconstruction company & they will contact you for repayment. dont worry..start worrying more now..
Why did you NOT pay the bill earlier @ OP ?? Why are you waiting for someone to call/visit you for fund recovery ?? If you couldn’t afford paying 60k then why did you buy product/s worth that amount ?? Just keeping your fingers crossed that, no one will take action against you so you can rob the bank ??
Plus don’t spread such baseless rumors without giving any valid/legit source…
when they call we get bargaining power to setlle.I waited for it but they did not call
If you have 1000 crore due to bank they will come begging, but if you have rs. 10000 due they will screw you big time @ Common-man
When the poor can’t repay their loans to banks, their homes are sold.
When the rich can’t repay their loans to banks, the banks are sold.
The red marks will remain on your CIBIL history even if HSBC closed its India operations.
what is your cibil score now ? And any other credit card you are holding currently ?

So you want to know if a BANK is shutting down India operations because they did not approach you for recovering 60k that you owe them and also based on an article from 2015, that too which talks about HSBC shutting down their private banking business in India.
Yeah, right!
Don’t worry bank can recover the money anytime if it wants. Recently I saw a case of sbi credit card where the person has not paid in 2002 and the recovery agency recovered 18lakh.
You have a link?
Profit of 60000/- ?
My lord when you were not able to pay 60000 then which which will be now much more and if they call and even after negotiations it will come to double triple of that, how you gonna pay that. Can you enlighten us with your wisdom.

my question has any difference than post title?

Repeat this 100 times daily in front of a mirror:
I will not leave any credit card bill due unpaid.
You took loot too seriously
gone thru ur link,it dont mention private banking
This link will give answers to some of the questions posed.
waiting from 2013
Bank can come to recover it’s due anytime. And if they send you legal notice and the case goes to court then you have to pay the full amout.
If you want to settle the amount it will effect your credit score. Don’t feel in trap if the recovery agent says after settlement your cibil score would be Clean.
let thread starter live peacefully by bargaining with Tribunals and ARC
HSBC have been giving cashback/discount offers a lot on their credit cards since last year. They won’t if they weren’t making profits. They completely revamped their website and mobile app. It’s just a matter of time their new lineup of credit cards (and maybe in premium/ super premium category) are coming up. Don’t screw with banks unless you can run away leaving everything behind. Now banks can attach your properties to recover their dues.
had property
sold it
lol, It is not some small bank to close. HSBC India profit made $1 bn in 2019 and $825 million in 2018.
still waiting
bump
kya hua ?
