arey भई, kamra/hall kitna bada hai, bahut logoN Ka aana jana hoga kya, dopahar baad tez dhoop koi deewar ko bahot garam kar rahi hai kya.. baas itna hi poocha.
if frequently pets or people open doors and size of room is big (including height) then higher capacity is required.
for 100-130 cubic, with mostly closed doors windows, even 100000-120000 BTU (British Thermal Unit) capacity is okay.
also, if not some reflective material (broken tiles/chips on roof, aluminium wall cladding on exterior) then at-least get white paint outside.
concrete and brickwork BOTH retain heat through the day and then start radiating it out after sundown, that was all. that was why checking if besides roof, any wall too gets direct sunlight.
no idea if it is a large multistoried structure or a bungalow or small G + 2 type, thus can’t kknow how many walls are shared with other apartment or shaded.
Annie Hu :) good if thinking of Voltas, Bluestar.
LG, National (now Panasonic) too have South Asia specific products with decent post sales service network. just for your reference FYR

the star ratings are subjective (and even manipulative), thus the cost:benefit payoff turns unfavourable.
does the site experience orr ever experienced temperatures above 42-43° C?
if so, then avoid big foreign brands pushing products not designed to withstand such.

just curious, since you already mentioned top floor, what are the dimensions (cubic feet) and occupancy (furniture, humans)? maybe .9 or 1 ton would do as well.

North-South orientation? any wall facing direct sunlight during peak heat (noon onwards)?

ask around locally as to which brands rely on distributorship for service versus have their own service center at that location.

for window unit, starting from Voltas, Bluestar to LG, Panasonic to OG, Carrier… all are good.
no idea if on-line deals are better so can’t suggest.
@AtulAggarwal some dolt moved your thread out of Dost and Dimes, so good luck with your query! as nobody really checks this section.

sad that these फcurse do so selectively! (many wishes, giveaway, product/service query advice, bill payment/ recharge query, dimes /karma question topics are regularly moved to dost and dimes or allowed to remain there).
anyway ¯\ _ (ツ) _ /¯, now the standard non-response will be: फcough
