concrete and brickwork BOTH retain heat through the day and then start radiating it out after sundown, that was all. that was why checking if besides roof, any wall too gets direct sunlight.
no idea if it is a large multistoried structure or a bungalow or small G + 2 type, thus can’t kknow how many walls are shared with other apartment or shaded.

the star ratings are subjective (and even manipulative), thus the cost:benefit payoff turns unfavourable.
does the site experience orr ever experienced temperatures above 42-43° C?
if so, then avoid big foreign brands pushing products not designed to withstand such.

just curious, since you already mentioned top floor, what are the dimensions (cubic feet) and occupancy (furniture, humans)? maybe .9 or 1 ton would do as well.

North-South orientation? any wall facing direct sunlight during peak heat (noon onwards)?

ask around locally as to which brands rely on distributorship for service versus have their own service center at that location.

for window unit, starting from Voltas, Bluestar to LG, Panasonic to OG, Carrier… all are good.
no idea if on-line deals are better so can’t suggest.
