Lately, I have been saddened by the fact that, almost all comments on a thread are meaningless.
I prefer cynicism over unthoughtful, inconsequential comments that floods several discussions. “Nice deal”, “VUnS”, “Vusoq (or whatever the f*ck you call it)” and the next thing you know, you have created a place where people are only interested in submitting deals and getting it upvoted rather than make meaningful contributions.
For God’s sake, there’s a button to upvote, there’s one for suggesting the deal, and there’s one to give karma.
Please don’t make another meaningless reply, to the never-ending list of waste crap.

@masthead1 I am with you on this. Heck, I used to include VU, S, KG/KP remarks in my posts, which also always had other comments about the deal. But I have stopped doing that now that admins have started showing reasons for negative votes. Yes, I have always believed that most people comment with VU mainly to make it clear to the OP that they liked a particular deal and that they are not the ones who voted down.
@admin I find it highly strange that you do not create/send a like notification for threads even though thread posts are just like other posts. This is the most important transparency piece to make the aforementioned acronyms obsolete. So true for certain users. In the past, I have spoken against the same situation for Karma exchange many times.
This reminds me of how annoyed I get when I see messages like “Thanks for the support …” after I have suggested or sent channel alert for a deal. Support, really?!
Let me take this opportunity to make it clear that if I appreciate and promote a deal via my channel alerts, it does not mean that I support or even like you. It simply means I liked the deal you posted.

Agree 100%, have never given Karma to anyone for suggesting my deal (well..maybe once i think)
and I dont expect to receive Karma also if I suggest their deal

I feel that comments make a community live. Although too many comments results in spam and is annoying, it is difficult to decide when a comment becomes spam. What I feel is bad that there is an untold rule that ‘vuns’ and similar comments must be replied back by giving karmas.
It is shocking to see a ‘deal subedar’ actually never posted a deal.
