disclaimer

Created a new thread as it is no longer a wallet but like ke a full fledged account minus cheque book. So doesn’t come under the purview of existing wallet thread. And it has started marketing so aggressively now that it would attract so many new customers.

If I can do ATM withdrawals, that’s enough for me. Is this digisavings limited to particular cities? My only worry is the 150 rupees debit card charge from 2nd year onwards

Branch expansion planned by DBS, but branchless banking is the main focus as it helps the bank in offering services at lesser cost to customer and that’s how it ia offering 7%pa interest currently.

Verification limited to select cities, but as reported you can get biometric verification completed from other city if you happen to visit that if service currently not available in your city.

My city is not showing in the list of cities. However there is CCD in my area. But don’t think verification can be done from there

Option to fix appointment with bank representative also not available? Only designated CCD outlets can perform this verification.

Then my question would be: Is there any penalty for closing the Digibank account? https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

If these branch-less banking guys will start charging like the expense-heavy brick-and-mortar banks then why would anyone go for them?!

Have they achieved customer threshold?
Still not many know digibank. So I feel there is still time for all these business calls.
They would not want to break recently built base.

Dont know about present scenario, but earlier it mentioned charge of Rs. 500 if digisavings account is closed within six months.

These are charges for normal accounts. They might take some more time to introduce the same for digibank, but it wont take long.

Before introduction of digibank, DBS had around 20000 accounts. Now it has 157000+. So progress is decent.

@disclaimer @DealSeeker (or) anyone I recently got activated Digisavings account (directly without any e-wallet) and last week got debit card too. But, my concern here is I’m unable to load the fund using my Debit Card. It’s showing card validity date as not-editable and ‘NEXT’ option not enabling to proceed further. Please help how to load fund using my Debit card ? I tried and searched many ways (through VAgent) but in vain. However, I’m able to load fund using net banking. But my worry is why can’t I use my DEBIT CARD to load fund.
