@@@mr.lonely@@ contrary to common perception, plastic currency (in a country like ours) might be more environmentally friendly than paper because it has more shelf life.
The expectation is that less of it will need to be replaced as frequentally as viscose or pulp based product. (but we also know that Indians bewafa hein and do a lot to damage even currency)

@desidude2013 just between you and me, this idea is more stale than the leftover bread in my fridge. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif
it IS a good idea though. (and so is the bread. i feel hungry now https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif )

D Subbarao wasn’t even the first sensible administrator to suggest this ⇒ http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/ind...

since Australia been doing it for more than a quarter of a century and later Singapore too had part success with it, even RBI had mulled over it towards the start of 21st century.

This BBC teaser makes for a good read ⇒ http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-15...23

@@@samganda@@ hope you are okay with European things baba!?
nahi tou Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudra Pvt Ltd ko rokne ke liye signature campaign start karna padega?

Last time when Indian currency was contract manufactured (outsourced),
i think it was to Korea.
This time it will be the Swiss, Germans and others.

waise @@@samganda@@ ko bhi maan na padega ki Chinese log, sabse sasta bana sakte hein Indian currency. (and they have years of experience trying to make it)
