[#GovernmentSirfBoltiHai stuck_out_tongue]

After issuing its new e-commerce policy in December, the Indian government is walking back on its words. Online retailers — Amazon and Flipkart — will still be able to sell their own private brands on the e-commerce platforms.

This should come as a relief since their plans going forward reportedly heaving depended on their own private labels including the Alexa powered Amazon Echo devices. The new clarification has come under attack citing that the industrial governing body is just ‘losing guts’ in backtracking from its original stance.

Amazon and Flipkart teamed up toaggressively voice their concerns against the new e-commerce policythat the Indian government rolled out on December 26.

Their efforts seem to have paid off with the India government flip-flopping to say that the brands can still sell products by associated private labels.

This means that products like the Amazon Echo and the Kindle as well as Flipkart items from MarQ, SmartBuy and Perfect Homes will still be available online.

stuck_out_tongue This time even the public was against this decision, so obviously would have been rolled back

I think it’s good for us that we are getting cashbacks but think about shopkeepers go and visit the clothes electronics and watches shopkeepers once. Because of e commerce they r unable to pay their rent because they don’t have customers now. Think about past when we shop we get it in MRP but because of this along with seller at least 6 people profited but now only 2 manufacturers and sellers and they r always rich so their is not proper money divided rich become more rich poor become more poor this will be the greatest reason of unemployment in near future I think all of u will understand this

That’s the theory of consumer behaviour, consumers would only go where they find the most benefit, also these discounts online won’t last more than few years, bcoz these companies are burning investor’s money and nothing else

Yep. That is why I never buy anything which is not extremely discounted, online. If it has discount but still costs only a little less than offline stores, I would go to offline stores and buy it since we shouldn’t make Amazon or Walmart a monopoly. They will sell everything at MRP once there’s no competition from local sellers. People who use Amazon or Flipkart for everything don’t get this.

I really wish Govt brings a rule… where the third party shouldn’t make their product Exclusive to the Amazon+Flipkart.
For example: OnePlus Products and some Xiaomi Products which are exclusive to the Amazon or Flipkart.

Thats only a one-sided thought. Consumers will be benefited from these reduced MRP costs and most of the Indian consumers are poor so these sites are helping those ppl out in a way. To be honest these sites will never go away and will only get bigger + new sites like nnnow and such will appear over the years and the more the competition the more reduced price the consumer can benefit.

Lol. If they start selling at mrp price don’t u think some other company will come and start selling at discount prices to steal the market share ? People who buy from retail stores aren’t smart. They don’t realize why and how online companies can afford discounted rates while retail stores don’t.

You have obviously not studied Amazon’s pricing strategy since it was founded. It’s going to be costlier for everyone, not just the rich or poor or middle class.

Lol don’t u know so many retailers have partnered with online companies for that,? Don’t u know how many people get employment via online work? Don’t u realize how many people are benefitting from that? One can make Lakhs via online business too.

In US,  there are hundreds of online stores -  it doesn’t mean people get unemployed…  And being unemployed isn’t bad either if u have smartness.

Not many can come up in front of giants like Amazon or Walmart. That’s the problem with your thinking.

That’s your misunderstanding.  They are giants because they are selling at discount prices but if they don’t – very soon ull see someone else being at those status… So Amazon and Walmart have to continue that if they want to sustain their top position.  Lol

You should see Amazon in USA then. Anyway you’re the guy who’s championing unemployment openly. So, no more words need to be said.

Lol……  In US search the sales that go on.  My relative is in US,  I know which sales go on…

My parents have been in business since 30 yrs lol.  I lived in suburban area until now lol.

Never I said there is no unemployment.  I said one can work even without having a job/ manual business.

Seems your business has been affected lol.  The shopkeepers will never say u how well they are doing… They have a habit of crying.  Same people are the ones who have all kinds of useless lifestyle if u go and check their life… During that time,  why don’t they complaint themselves?

When they looted people so much, where did people like u hided?  So many people couldn’t afford branded products due to that and has to suffer due to local shopkeepers. Do you have any clue?  Do u have any clue how much these shopkeepers looted people of their hard earned money? They refused to give people even 1-2rs discount ever… Now same people ‘seedhe ho gaye’

Just because u can chat and write here and u have been affected financially doesn’t mean u can oppose everything
