Jio to charge 6 paise/minute for non jio calls from 10/10/19.
As per a notice put on www.j...om, non jio calls are going to be charged at 6 paisa/minute with effect 10/10/19. So if you make lot of calls from jio number, recharge it today so that you get the old plan. Make sure to get the old plans which have validity till 1/1/2020 as that is the date when the IUC charges may become zero as per a TRAI circular and no 6p/minute charges would need to be paid.

For every 167 outgoing minutes you spent on non-jio numbers will award you 1gb data..

I have a balance of 1200 so if i recharge 399 three times i will get three plans of 399 for 84 days each, now my current plan gets over on 05 dec and jio will automatically pick the next recharge plan of 399 in my account than i will not have to pay any additional 6 paise charges? please advise

Calls to Non jio numbers are still free. IUC charges are for those minutes/duration spent to connect your calls from jio numbers to other non jio numbers. Guys, don’t mistake it for minutes you spend while speaking on call, having connected. 
No offense but typical Indian mentality u have . First Reliance Jio made us understand how heavily overpriced other companies were. But when minimum charges appear you start criticizing & leave Jio 😂😂 By the way before jio ka rate kya tha?

Nothing can avoid you from incurring charges,
The only best way you can do is recharge any long validity plan and select activate now from my jio > my plans

I had to recharge multiple times their Add-on pack of Rs. 21 gives 1GB data, now in Rs.10 great move.

I understood only ONE word after going through all pages. That is IUC. Some people are so panic and started asking suggestions as if they are in ICU.

Question to be asked is whether they should apply these charges for already purchased recharges. This 6pc is not something TRAI applied recently so they cannot blame TRAI for it.
Earlier trai proposed zero IUC from Jan 2020 but now they are trying postpone this date.
They think Indian users have not shifted fully to 4g and many users still use 2g.
Jio was paying IUC thinking it will be over after this year but trai changed their mind.
trai is reviewing previous proposed deadline and hearing is there on 18 October related to it.
So jio suddenly starts charging iuc from it’s customers just before trai finalize its revised plans..?
It seems jio want trai to scrap this IUC thing or if iuc exists then they want iuc per min lower than 6 paise.

. Amd i had nokia 1100 for 6 7k rs i think.. so consider past now its penny as every thing should go high over time.. but tech go down.. income increased lot compared to past 10 years. Even now we have dd and online things to save lit money.. atleast i am not in worries.. maybe some of here haven’t tested those past.. didnt compared 10 or 20 years back life vs now. We have many other issue to debate.. but i saw ling panic post for jio.. just few years back i strugled with 250 rs 1gb 2g plan of Airtel.. i paid but unable use net..to so i am happy customer of jio.. and will be loyal.. they changed the thought thats why we have even discussion of 6p .. else we were gonna discuss 4 rs to 10 rs incoming call per minute..
Now i have the perfect solution, well atleast will work for me.
1) Only jio to Jio call, Vodafone to Vodafone, airtel to airtel, bsnl to bsnl
2) If not, come on whatsapp call, video call, duo video call, skype, or other video call/internet call.
3) If not, come on whatsapp, messenger or whatever chat.
4) If not, come on sms which otherwise was feeling ignored.
5) If not lets write letters and get on old memory lanes
6) If not lets meet and share words, sentences, para, story.
7) If not, f**k off. If someone cannot do above all no need in my life Get lost.

while going through all articles i understood that If you are calling non Jio number then you will be charged 6 paise per minute till the time its ringing.
calls will still be free to any operator but you will have to pay 6 paise per minute till the time you ringing the other person.

Previous IUC charges were 14P/min. After JIO launched its free services, there were so many calls for many hours per day from JIO to other networks. JIO paid many crores as IUC charges to other networks until Ambani somehow twisted govt hands and made TRAI to reduce IUC charges by more than 50% to 6p/min in the end of 2017.
Other players lost a big percentage of revenue and couldn’t do anything as Ambani has govt in his pockets. So they teamed up together and came up with new plans like monthly 35 recharges. They just threw dead weight off board and this increased their ARPU.
Now JIO also wants to increase its Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and hence this IUC charges on customers.
Do not worry much and bear with it for some months, IUC charges will disappear.
But get ready to face some other charges because freebie period is over for JIO. Now they need profits and actual revenues.
So landline would be best friend again all calls from jio to landline are still free. Only non jio mobile calls are 6p

I can’t see all my 149 and 98 rs plan vocher(purchased a year back) in my jio account, I had nearly 20, rs 98 vocher and same number of 149 vocher.
