My phone keeps searching for wifi networks, even when I am connected to a network.
Also, the battery is draining fast when connected to wifi.
Please suggest whether it is possible to stop the n/w search when connected.

Thanks a lot. This is very well appreciated but when I am trying to flash EFS it is getting failed. I am on TWRP-2.6.3.0 and file you shared is placed on SD card.

copy the files to efs_backup folder in your internal memory and then flash the file “efsbackupflash.zip” located in the same folder

You can’t replace your EFS with any other phones EFS !

You never know when your NV/EFS may stop working correctly. Restoring your WORKING EFS may save the day. A few users in the #lg-optimus-g IRC channel have run into issues and found their phone unusable, myself included. Our issues could have been fixed if an EFS backup was made while the phone was still in working order.

m9kefs1 seems to be radio related
m9kefs2 contains your unique phone identifiers: IMEI, phone number, etc —> These are your phone specific details !!!
m9kefs3 seems to be blank 00s

Until and unless you backed it up while your phone was working i doubt this would help !!

Look for vendors with Octopus LG Box !! This can rewrite your EFS Partitions ! Or contact the vendor for further help !!

I’m not sure, I just shared m9kefs1 and m9kefs3 with these guys. Since most of them face radio issues, May be the 1st file would fix the issue.

I’m not sure, I just shared m9kefs1 and m9kefs3 with these guys. Since most of them face radio issues, May be the 1st file would fix the issue.

May be !! not sure !! Guys trying out this , once you try out this stuff please post the updates on the same !! Should be very helpful to other people in case someone else experiences the same problems !

I soft bricked my phone and I have re-installed the stock firmware. Now I need a way to get a file manager in my phone. I have all the APK files in my S card. But I don’t have internet access in mobile to download a file manager. What can I do now? Is there anyway I can access the APK files which are inside my SD card?

Download the ESfile Explorer .apk through net. Use adb to install the apk.

how to enable the qslide, i dont see that option anywhere ?

someone please tell me qslide is working with stock Rom or not ? I can’t see the options in drop down and video player showing that icon but nothing happens after clicking it.

the qslide is working now after the restart. But only Qmemo and video can be minimized.

I bought a Strontium 64GB card.
Earlier it was not working but after reformatting it in FAT32 and using SDFix some progress happened.

The problems I am facing still:
1. After SDFix ES Explorer can see and access my card but many apps(like Rocket Music) are not able to scan mp3 files in it. If I go via ES Explorer and play it RM player plays it well.

2. USB Tethering is working fine, but I am not able to see my phone as storage when I connect it to PC.
(When I flashed(AOSP 4.4.2) I didn’t have sd card ). I tried reinstalling driver, restarting etc and fiddling with adb. Adb list my device when tethering is ON but not other wise.

3. TWRP doesn’t recognize my SD Card.

4. Is it a Kitkat issue or 64GB issue? Can I put my game files etc on SD Card

Well then no further idea !! You should post in the LG Optimus G E970 XDA thread . May be the mods their could suggest further action. Also it would be good if you can list down the details of the person who flashes using Octobus box . Could be helpful to everyone. MyLG Optimus E970 was factory unlocked and i bought it (in factory unlocked state) from GEB Ebay. I live in Delhi India. I was using it with India Airtel network without any constraint for past 2 months. Suddenly due to some messing up with its EFS or whatever (i dont know what i messed), it became hard-locked. Now, i cannot even unlock it by any purchased unlock code, since device shows message “This device is permanently blocked and cannot be unlocked”. I tried Nexus conversion also, i converted successfully but of no use. The device is still hard-locked. Hence, i converted back to Optimus E970.

Now, i want guidance from all of you that what can i do to unlock it? Is there any way for me? or cell is waste piece? pls help….i have heard about Octopus box tool which can repair such case. But i am not able to find a single mobile shop here in Delhi India where i can get such repair person with Octopus Box. pls suggest what be solution to the mess that i have created for myself…..Any inputs will be appreciated.

Have you tried restoring original ROM using LGNPST?

Octopus Box – I believe that is is used for MTK based phones but I might be wrong.
There are lots of shops in Gaffar Market who has it and they can unlock the phone. You need to bargain as you know
