Hi friends,
Yesterday I reset my mobile’s data.
Now when I switched on my mobile it’s asking to enter the Registered MI account password.

The problem is I don’t remember that account’s password and there is no option to reset my password. 😑😑

If you don’t do it right it will fail obviously
Follow the guides on XDA n MIUI forum
I don’t see any reason why custom recovery flash is getting failed when you have unlocked bootloader
I have done correctly from my side.
OK Leave this MI account.
I will recover this later through my Gmail account.
Now I want to recover my Gmail account. I have both recovery email and mobile number linked to that account. But due to too many incorrect attempts Google temporarily blocked my account.

Redmi note prime has already unlocked bootloader.. just go to fastboot mode and install custom recovery. From recovery flash any other custom rom..like mokee
Bro tried that method too But that didn’t worked.
so are you able to flash TWRP recovery or CWM? if yes then what happened when you flash custom rom? are you able to boot into the new rom?
It’s getting failed everytime.
Just waiting for Google to unblock my Gmail account.
@myliferockkss bro see if you can help him. He looks to be a noob like me so try to explain him step by step procedure.

Just went through the entire thread….
The best possible way is to flash twrp/cwm and install dev roms/eu roms as suggested by @getready
@dhoni007 u can give a shot at google account after 24hours cooldown period….
U can also give a try in xiaomi service centre if ur device is still under warranty…. they will ask for the originals and stuffs too…

Good, now dont lose hope before trying everything @dhoni007
I bricked almost all of devices for various reasons and the only one i couldnt get back working is Samsung ATIV SE Windows phone (firmware got corrupted, so no IMEI and there’s no way to restore it)

Phone – Redmi 3S
MIUI 8.0
Got the permission to unlock my device from MI
When I am trying to unlock its failing at 50% – “Couldn’t Verify Device” Error When Unlocking
(I am trying to root the phone, for that I need to unlock the bootloader first that’s what the steps on google were saying)

@myliferockkss @getready @rxgupt2
That’s the most common error most of the Xiaomi users are facing
This is happening because of mismatch between your current device details (OS version mostly) and server database details
Some were successful in getting their devices unlocked by flashing developer rom and using mobile number for login with mi unlock tool but when i had same issue none if the solutions worked. Had to contact one from MIUI device team to reset the server details
Edit: And Unlocking the bootloader is not mandatory to get the device rooted. Unlock bootloader is required to root the device officially (via officially). You can try Kingroot app to root your device with locked bootloader and replace king root libraries with SuperSu libraries

Very common issue…. Almost 80℅ of xiaomi devices are facing this….. Like @getready said u will have to install dev rom and then u can try unlocking….

yes this is the most common issue that most of the users is still facing.
but i suggest you to try after 7-10 days of receiving the sms from xiaomi.
also try to use 64 bit windows for unlocking bootloader.

Yup, it takes some time to permission sync to xiaomi servers. In my case I had to wait for 15 days.
Does rooting rn3 deteriorate performance? Rooting motoE slowed it drastically.

Flash global developer rom and you are good to go

@getready can u plz tell me difference b/w Official and Unofficial Rooting ?
Is their any way to check whether my bootloader is unlocked or not ?
@rxgupt2
There is no such topic like official rooting and unofficial rooting.
There is a way of unlocking boot-loader officially or unofficially. Official unlocking bootloader is something like you are taking permission from the manufacturer and unofficial means you are unlocking bootloader by changing or modify ROM files.
Yes, there is way to check if your bootloader is locked or not, check this below link and follow the procedure.

Official root can be done within the OS (Security > Root For developer Roms) itself and it won’t break OTA just like we root CyanogenMod without flashing SuperSU
