If you buy more than Rs 3,00,000 i a financial year from one account/mobile number/email ,then it is mandatory to update PAN card number to flipkart otherwise they wont ship your order.
Happened with me today. My Earlier transactions on flipkart this year was approx 2,91,000 which were delivered. When i placed order worth 30k today, they put my order on HOLD. When i asked then they told about their new policy. Senior agent also told the same.
INFORMATION ISSUED IN DIMER’S INTEREST—-
@digyvijaykumar123 You ordered worth 2.9L in a year alone? Do you have sub franchise of flipkart?

What if i give PAN to flipkart? Will government will ask for tax from me? Any idea ? Anyone?

Hope amazon doesn’t follow their foot steps. I get a lot of GCs for the extra work we do for a firm who prefers to keep these transactions out of the books. Now I don’t want IT to know about all the purchases I make.
Maybe create 2-3 accounts in family members names? I guess flipkart won’t bother about multiple accounts? Hope you made some good money from CB sites

No… As they are personal use items, no tax. Only they can ask you to prove the source of money and nature of transaction , chances of same are less . This is when money is routed from ur bk ac.
In case u use their cc /dc and bill in their name , no issues, u can easily explain in either cases.
Make sure bill in their name and if u pay from ur account, u receive and amount in ur bk so to show relation as u were only pure agent.
Sorry again msg repeated from app

@digyvijaykumar123 Yes pan card dhiya tho log hoga and Flipkart will check your cibil score and past conduct everything with your pancard. So beware before doing any such things

Thanks for information.
Doing all these only would be more burden on the IT dept with a lot more data to be processed. They can do this only for the accounts which have COD orders and exceed a particular limit. Why would they want to generate more data when it has already been recorded through online transactions. Not sure if it is FK initiative or if it is a govt directive. As always Legit buyers/tax payers face hassles and criminals find alternatives.

Yeah agree. We don’t have to give away such information easily to for-profit organisations like FK. Who knows they might collate such data of big buyers to push some other product in the future? This might be a disguise too for data mining (I might be wrong here), but data is money for marketing firms.
lol

I was like you once, all my family members would ask me purchase things online. Then at the time of filling taxes it became a headache for me to show the expenses. After that I ask for their card to buy for them and have made separate accounts.
No need to deactivate the account but don’t transact any more from that account for next fiscal year.

I think this is for single transaction not cumulattive

The current regime has formulated many such policies but it is still on paper. Will take some time to implement.
The move is seen as a way to curb black money; the new regulations come into effect from 1 January 2016 but it was not strictly implemented.
