Please avoid purchasing high value items from Flipkart Read the full story. Please don’t vote down. It’s a request.

Hey dimers, it’s me Manish. You all are my friends and I don’t want you all to struggle like me. I want to tell you all my case where I am struggling to replace my laptop (PIDhttps://www.flipkart.com/acer-aspire-3-ryzen-5-...).My Order ID is OD116662323519825000. It had been just 4 days of using my laptop when I noticed meshing fault in my laptop display. The seller was RetailNet. I raised a replacement under standard item replacement of 10 days and after that, twice the Acer technician visited my home performing all necessary action for replacement. Then I got a letter from Acer stating that replacement is now approved and further actions will be taken by Flipkart.

Now from that day I checked the status of my replacement on flipkart which isn’t changing at all. Flipkart is not provivng appropriate solution and blatantly delaying my issue. I tried a lot to talk to their higher authority but they all seem to be a bit arrogant.

Now I am stuck in that condition where I cannot even use my laptop as it has been sealed by Acer for replacement. Acer support was really wonderful in this case. They were kind and generous enough to help me. And their Zonal Head is really great. He helped me a lot to resolve this issue.

I am attaching all the necessary proofs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u9rIjR60D84XB...

I can’t attach images here as it will lose quality and it will be rendered useless. You may listen to call recordings to validate my issue.

Please dimers, buy from Amazon, you won’t regret later unlike me. Just ignore flipkart even if has sweet offers for you. It’s just a trap.

it’s true. Flipkart’s return is a mess. I have been fighting with them since 12th October and only today was my return approved. Got a Fake SSD in a box of a samsung 860 (pic attached). The outer courier box was not tampered with clearly it was the seller f’ing up.
Even in my case the seller was same as yours – RetailNet.

Just file a case in Consumer redressal forum. I already won a case against Paytm. You don’t need any advocate there. Keep all the bills and communications ready.

I filed a complaint and was absolutely satisfied with the result. Within 2-3 days got an email/call from some higher official at Flipkart regarding return and all

I don’t think it’s a 840 lol. If you look closely, someone pasted that “500 gb” sticker on the ssd and the whole label is bigger than the drive. Like if pasted with cellotape. Also the ssd box has its seal intact but it was opened from top (where that white tear is) and badly sealed again with cellotape.
I did not try to run this drive in my computer.

Its all the same story since walmart’s acquisition and iam quite sure once all the customers get attracted to online shopping, even amazon will follow the same.
Left flipkart 2-3 years back with similar kind of experience and have ordered only one time since that as it was an flipkart exclusive product. And iam happy not to regret on my decision of leaving flipkart….
Amazon is far ahead from flipkart in atleast service
Came across many similiar kind of issues on return/replacement policy of flipkart but even worst is that flipkart also blocks accounts with balances of even 30000+ and dont care of returning it to customer back instead act rude
They are the worst as of now even below paytm, snapdeal expressionless expressionless expressionless expressionless

There is always a return/replacement policy from company as well.
Ask them, what they’ll say

Acer

I asked about that. But they said “since product has been purchased from Flipkart, it is better that Flipkart issue the replacement.”
If i would have purchased it offline, then Acer might have replaced the laptop.

I don’t intend to counter your remarks/abilities. But I’m just extra curious.

The 500Gb sticker looks to be an extra sticker which is stuck with a QR code on it unlike the usual label which looks all ok.

May be you can check with manufacturer if it is indeed a genuine one. But 840 inside a 860 box is definitely a botched up instance.

Flipkart will never approve replacement even if it’s a genuine issue… Faced issue with a mobile purchased by a relative recently.

Insist them to replace it, tell them flipkart is ignorant and won’t help. They won’t deny it .
Ask them nicely, ask the higher authority and get rid of the this issue.
Save your nerve cells by going this way instead of doing time pass with flipkart .

That’s not true. A couple of guys bought Acer Predator Helios 300 (90,000) from Flipkart during last sale, but instead got a Acer aspire (29,000) laptop. After a few follow ups with Flipkart, they have replaced it.
