Somebody I know has also received a 4G SIM for his existing Reliance CDMA postpaid connection. Now he is getting calls from Reliance everyday to complete the upgrade process. He was expressing his frustration to me earlier today. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Keep us informed about what offers you get and the quality of data service in your area.

i already initiated my upgrade process to 4G [Reliance CDMA Prepaid – Andhra Pradesh circle]
I was told that i will be getting 150 local+std calls and R-R unlimited calls + 1GB EVDO data for 1 month
and after activation 10GB 4G data for 1 month [93 Recharge]
As per RCOM website, plans for 4G are same as that of CDMA until next 6 months. I hope its true

Sadly, 4G upgrade currently not applicable for subscribers in Tamil Nadu & Chennai, Kerala, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

BSNL gave me a 3.6Mbps datacard in exchange for my EVDO dongle and a sim(without any benefit). https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_lol.gif
Take whatever Reliance is offering you. It’s better than BSNL.

Heard that RCOM stopped issuing 4G sims in many areas like 4G upgrade may delay further not exactly sure if its sure
CDMA subscribers were asked to port to Reliance GSM

and no update on that sim activation
It just shows “Reliance 4G” under Provider name on my redmi note 3.

Even the Reliance store guy hinted that there might be more delay in official launch. So enjoy your free Jio service. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Rcom has not come up with any official announcement. They are only sending SMS. The whole thing is handled in a very shady and unprofessional way.

Unless it’s officially declared that they are extending the date the CC can’t confirm you the same.

One user commented in above article that he confirmed with CC,offer is only for 90 days and after that he saw in jio app validity shows till 17-Aug-2016. Which date is showing in your jio app?
