Yup. Btw, you are assuming (may be too much!!) that they would take such activation and fund loading request EVEN BEFORE DELIVERY (confirmed by their courier partner)… Isn’t it!!
UPDATE
After rigorous follup & lot of dilly delaying Infibeam customer care has responded that gift cards would not be activated till month following RBI guidelines.
IMO utter nonsense response.

Update I called Infibeam today and they said they are not going to activate any card due to RBI guidelines. And they will refund the money in freecharge wallet without any compensation. What a waste!

Try any other cards than ICICI. It must work for you.
It’s worked for me all most all cards for adding the cash (not tried with ICICI ofcourse I don’t have it).
Have you tried with Tickets compliments or Zaggle Kuber GC and is your account a KYC account?

today i recv call from infibeam, they cancel my order due to RBI guidelines.
15 days. Not active. Shop swipe also says “declined”.
How to claim refund? Bought as guest during purchase on infibeam.

Called infibeam. They sad they will refund back to freecharge. ICICI is scam bank and rbi kyc reason is not acceptable. Idiot bank. Also nobody in bank branch knows anything about prepaid/gift cards. Also they know nothing about normal credit card. Just sell it at branch. For problems they say call the customer care (std number) only from the registered mobile no.
Never had such problem with Axis, Amex, rbl and other gift cards. Worst bank icici. Biggest behind-the-bank black money whitener during note bandi
Yes, always there is some problem with icici.. for below 5K actually kyc also not required.
If there is cumulative purchase which exceeds more than 10K then it may need it. Always some or the other problem with icici bank in almost every aspect.
