how is after sales service of Electrolux?

VU up is good I also VU and encourage and thank you for sharing but Elecrolux after sales is poor is what I learn and even reviews on net are also not encouraging about product quality.

I had an electroux wasing machine gave me endless trouble and horrible after sales service, finally i sent a fax to their head office in Sweden and then they started giving me surprise free service calls lol

VP pjhoned and gave me his personal mobile number in case of any problem, things were ok for a while then Electrolux sold the Indiand business to Videocon who are well known chor Co. and service became even more pathetic than it was, no use complaining to the top officers because they don’t bother so i scrapped the machine and bought a Siemens …. much happier now.

Been 3 yrs don’t know condition of Electrolux now but reviews indicate its still horrible after sales services.

Other than quality this one appears to be slightly better energy efficient than Godrej

A good option for those on a tight budget. Another option is Videocon VS5J3 (all copper AC) with free Kenstar induction cooker @ Rs. 25,990

But, I always recommend people who are planning to buy an AC from ‘ordinary’ brands like LG, Samsung, Videocon, Electrolux, Lloyd, Godrej, Voltas, Onida, Haier, etc. to increase their budget by 15-20% and buy a Carrier or a Daikin AC instead.

By the way, Electrolux (and Kelvinator) are owned by Videocon in India. Electrolux appliances are manufactured, marketed, sold and serviced by Videocon.

That may be true. However I had purchased a videocon a/c in 2005. It was not upto the mark from day 1 as it did not cool enough. I called the service engineer many times and after checking was told that there was no problem. Anyway since the ac was in the guest room it was not used much so I let it be. In 2008 Suddenly it stopped cooling and on checking by engineer it was discovered that gas had leaked. Got it repaired in 2000 rs. Within 1 month gas leaked again. Repaired again by paying 2000. Then let it be as mentioned before as it was not used much. Next year when we started the ac again no cooling, called engineer and he said gas leak. Did not repair and disposed the ac in exchange for 4K.

It could be also because some ganda nala (river of dirty sewage water flowing few meteres from your home). Dont take me wrong just assuming as my relatives stay in Noida and some in Patpar Ganj they keep complaining this every year their AC’s gas leaks. Videocon anyways is rubbish company. Some Mahapurush here on this forum advised me to go for godrej instead.

i have godrej 410Lt. refrigerator and its good there after sales support is awesome but i don’t recommend there AC,VU for this deal

O General, Daikin, Carrier n Hitachi should be preffered

Electrolux… please avoid…

i have their refrigerator.. it had cooling issues from day one… called the dealer who sent the service guy who in turn opened up the whole fridge and then started blaming wiring of my home… I argued my other fridge(Godrej) also worked on the same supply… Finally after lots of heated arguments and threats dealer replaced the fridge which was a bit better…

It was a premium 349 lt model Made in Taiwan… interestingly the freezer works fine but the main unit cant cool properly…

No more interested in their pathetic service… carrying on with the fridge till it lasts will never buy electrolux product again…

PS : my other Samsung refrigerator has though only 240 lts hasn’t had any such issue till date…

I have no idea about their after sales service network in India, but York is a very old (started in 1874 ) and reputed American HVAC manufacturer. The brand is currently owned by Johnson Controls.

i already checked up on it even US consumers have given it absolutely horrible reviews we’d be better off buying whirlpool
