Reliance Jio GigaFiber offer free LED TVs, 4K Set-Top Box

Main question is the location?
Whether our location will get included or not for availing jiofiber.

I remember how Dimers were criticizing Ambani in the election thread 😂 Dimers will cry how Ambani is bad and all, but will grab EVERYTHING he offers in a second. Atleast stand by your morals, hypocrites. 😝

First day first show plan details, there’s an update!

If they are not giving an unlimited plan at low cost (800-1000 rs) / mth, people like me will stay away from it.
They can also go for a monthly GB limit and once the monthly data is over, we will get low speeds @ 4 – 5 Mbps

at 700 it looks expensive. Currently I’m paying 599 for my broadband. Even though official speed is 50mbps the real speed is limited by the ethernet capacity which is 100mbps.

Yes, 700+126gst is really expensive for dimers.
Currently in trial plan, I’ll stop using jio fibre.

I am using both Airtel v-Fibre and JioFibre both for my office.
Airtel using for around 3 year and JioFibre for around 6 month. I removed JioFibre because of some service issue (it was not working for 7 days and no reply of e-mail and jiocustomer care number not connecting. Terminated by many tweets).
Airtel is 50 mbps around at Rs.600 , 3000 GB data (virtually unlimited).
I am still considering Jiofibre at backup line because VoIP call was not working properly on JioFibre, mainly for incoming calls. In airtel i never faced any issue related to VoIP.
RDC (Remote Desktop) was frequently disconnecting in Jiofibre while in airtel it is working great.
Same issue was facing other offices in same building with JioFibre.

I know Airtel is Chortel but just sharing my experience.

JioFibre does lot of data speed throttling say on torrents etc. Also they don\t allow port forwarding so one can’t monitor CCTVs etc from their network.

I had a very bad experience with JioFiber. Around 6 months ago, after choosing the location, I got the notification saying the network is available. Confirmed with Salesperson who contacted me, so I went ahead buying it. Paid. Filled the forms. That’s it. Contacted via Twitter several times, all they said was the concerned team was working on the issue. It went on many many months. I asked for refund. Now again waiting. I really wanted JioFiber but their Customer Service is frustrating.

Didn’t understand about free LED TV ?
HOW ITS FREE..CAN I SUBSCRIBE FOR A MONTH THEN UNSUBSCRIBE..AFTER THAT LED TV WILL BE MINE ON NO EXTRA COST….

People who are expecting a free 4K TV, Unlimited broadband & a 4K STB @700 should go back to sleep…

First of all, they won’t provide any 4K TV so stop spreading rumors…They will provide a cheap china made FHD TV (can be bought for even under 10k from online sites) which will be re-branded to their company name & a 4K STB (How many 4K channels we have in India by the way ??) only with the plans which will cost 10k+GST/month…Also who uses landlines these days ??

And before you say, I am an AirTel fan, YES I AM & a very proud one at that…If I am an AirTel fan, so you guys are also Jio/Ambani fans…So, there is nothing to write home about…

In my location in Kolkata, Jio gives me 1-2 Mbps speed where in the same place AirTel gives me 65 Mbps+ speed…Vodafone also giving me 20-30 Mbps in the same location…

I too got a Jio SIM when everyone got their free Jio SIM but I couldn’t even use it for a single day because of the pathetic speed & that still didn’t change so I ported my Jio number to BSNL…Even BSNL 3G gives better speeds than Jio 4G lol…

I am already getting 80 Mbps unlimited Fiber Optic with no FUP at all in Kolkata at 700/month…Thanks to Alliance Broadband…Torrent files download at 100 Mbps speed because of the peering support of Alliance…

I already have an LG FHD Smart TV so no need for any 2 rs Chinese made FHD TV which will break in 1-2 years or maybe even sooner…

I don’t need any 4K STB either because I’m not aware of any 4K TV channel in India & totally happy with Dish TV…

I am big fan of Jio no extra charge policy. And a victim of Airtel too…. But for your fyi…. I work right in front of Jio corporate tower in Gurgaon and Jio don’t work well here… May be their strategy to make their employees off phones during work hours
