Even I was thinking the same….but with HDFC smartbuy it is always a mystery how they apply the reward points and when they issue the cashback etc…also we never get a chance to see the detail of how the offer is applied

Discounts are not getting applied on all cards. Only cards from some banks like SBI, Axis, etc. are showing the Rs. 2000 discount. PhonePe’s UPI integrated in Flipkart is also showing Rs. 2000 discount, but does not get applied, you can see that in UPI pin screen where amount is displayed.
yes, i tried paying with my amex card using phonpe only to realize i paid 20470 at the payment gateway page. then cancelled the order and paid through regular gateway and it worked.
better use regular card payment gateway. Amex might also reject offer saying payment shows as phonpe and not flipkart. In T&C it clearly says that:

Better buy in amazon with offer posted today by dimers, last two times order got cancelled because of bvc logistics, and this time also it is out for delivery from last two days in bangalore. Not sure if we can trust this logistics and flipkart customer support
