From few days we were discussing internally but we would like to have Dimer’s opinion as well.
Do you think now we should promote deals (FPDs) without manufacture warranty.
Or products which are imported and have no warranty
Or products with seller warranty.
As there are many deals which are good and where there is no warranty mention and due to which we are not promoting such deals and may be many Dimers might be missing out on it.
Deals from International stores like Aliexpress, Amazon.com, Amazon Global Store in Amazon, eBay, etc will have more exposure.
We can always use deal wiki to mention about product’s warranty part.
Do share your views, and we have created poll as well.

Say yes and support the efforts of deal posters and let buyers decide whether they want to buy a product even without warranty
And how do we define loot?
NO. my 2 cents
Yes, if price is less than Rs.1000
No. And maybe yes for loot deals which means more than 90% discount ones (genuine discount). U see the one in which risk factor is less.
Nope , not atall.
Big No to Seller warranty deals on FP .
Agreed no to Seller warranty deals(Laptops from Ebay)
Yes to Amazon Global store deals, deals with steal price with no warranty information like my LED bulb deal…..
Yes definitely.. I have a lot of great deals with seller warranty on ebay. Many of my friends have bought such product and have no problems at all..
But if its implemented then DD will be flooded with all eBay n Shopclues craps. EOD everyone will blame DD only
Yes why not if there is nay good offer than it’s always welcome. There are products which are good without warranty also
I guess you could look at seller ratings and stuff but even then, there’s a good chance that it would lead to more problems. So it’s better to not promote such deals.
No, rule is a rule, regular dimers know well abt loots and how to manage if anything goes wrong, but many others don’t know how to manage with problems in seller warranty, if they blindly order by seeing DD they will be at loss and so is the reputation of DD
The rigid approach of not promoting deals from Amazon and Flipkart where warranty details are not mentioned even from sellers like Cloudtail and RetailNet is ridiculous to say the least. It’s common knowledge that manufacturer warranty will be applicable from these sellers even if it’s not mentioned.
Agree, Deals from Top Rated Trusted and Old Seller Deals from Amazon,Flipkart and Snapdeal should be promoted even if there is no mention of warranty.
PS: I mean where “Seller warranty” is not mentioned in particular.
Yes but there should be a filter to choose warranty mentioned or not for users to filter out on homepage and it should be disabled by default. So a user can enable it if he wants. Also if no warranty or seller warranty then it should be mentioned in deals in bold letters in deal wiki or in title itself.
No from me. Will lead to more issues
The poll feature is new? or it was available before also?
Big NO
Recently I purchased Motorola Turbo Charger (Rs,580) with no manufacture warranty. Seller has given 10 days replacement warranty.
(Ordered item on 1st April; received on 13th April. Charger stopped working Today (24th April). After having a talk with Flipkart Customer Care, they said no chance of getting a replacement. It’s a complete loss to me)
Considering this, if DD implements promoting ‘no manufacture warranty’ deals, there could be loss of reputation to the community portal.
I think you should but with disclaimer
“No warranty”
Yes, but write Risky in Brackets ().
My opinion.
Yes
with certain strict TnCs like marketplace rating, seller rating, warranty policy, user review/experience, percentage of discount etc.
Shop international is the future therefore exposure to it would be a big opening.
But opening this floodgate will call lots of unwanted international level fraudsters
Hi, I have a couple of offtopic points to ask:
1) Can you think about making the process of promoting deals to the front page
transparent by mentioning which mod/admin has promoted the deal?
2) I don’t know the level of satisfaction with the current FPD system but if it is possible to go back to the previous system(without hotness etc), I’ll vote for it
No to seller warranty as there is not much difference in their prices plus lot of dealers sell either 2nd or duplicate stuff. Like this there will be more of seller deals and it will take away the pleasure of getting an actual real deal. It will lead to solid confusion and may be desidime will become like ebay or shopclues where hardly ppl shop unlike Amazon or snapdeal. Please guys you have made desidime a fresh app to have from the regular coupon code apps so please maintain it the same way. It’s my most favourite app and No 1 on list whenever I buy a new phone desidime is the first app I think of. Rest is all upto you guys what’s good or bad but in an honest buyer opinion seller warranty is as good as no warranty so guys please Avoid including it.
Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn’t
you wanna promote just do it
Send me NIKE Shoes
what about products from aliexpress, http://www.gearbes...m/ and such cross border sites ??
Yes. But prominently mention that the warranty information is (A) either not available or (B) warranty is not applicable.
Yes , we want seller warranty deals
Yes we are dimers, we just need loot.
Aliaxpress, global Amazon is Good Idea.(eBay is not trustable)
By no means! Only completely legit deals to be allowed on front page.
Absolutely NO
No
Yes, but in some cases (Loot Deals).
