Best Web Hosting Companies in India 2025 Reviewed with Pros & Cons
In this article, we have compiled a list of the top web hosting companies in India (2025) after reading 100s of user reviews & having personally tested & used some of them.
Picking the right web hosting provider is a big deal, especially if you’re serious about your website’s success. Make the wrong choice, and you could end up losing money, wasting valuable resources, and hurting your site’s performance. That’s why finding the best web hosting company in India for 2025 is more important than ever. In this article, we have compiled a list of the top web hosting companies in India after having personally tested & used some of them.

.

Cloudways in our personal view is #1 best web hosting company in India in 2025 for five main reasons:
Reason 1: Cloudways is probably the only managed web hosting provider apart from Kinsta that uses cloud infrastructure which is any day better (it’s also much cheaper than Kinsta)
Reason 2: Staging environment, Unlimited websites (has a soft limit of 100 projects which can be lifted), Cloudflare CDN, Unlimited Applications Installation - some features that Cloudways offers for free while other providers generally charge extra for.
Reason 3: No hidden pricing that increases drastically from the next year. Other shared hosting providers like Hostinger, etc need you to pay upfront for 2 to 4 years to get their hosting at cheaper prices. Cloudways has more transparent, monthly, pay-as-you-go billing (explained later below).
Reason 4: Your cloud hosting servers can be easily scaled up or down depending on your needs. Eg: During festive occasions, some websites may expect more traffic thus increase their server limit (by paying extra) and during off-seasons, can scale down the server (thus pay less for those months).
Reason 5: Great customer support via 24/7 live chats, support tickets, knowledge base
Bottom line: Cloudways hosting is undoubtedly one of the best web hosting providers in India. Especially for those who are not as tech-savvy and need a managed cloud hosting service.
Customers can sign up on Cloudways with a 3-days free trial period (no credit card required) and can choose from different cloud providers like AWS, DigitalOcean, Google Cloud, etc. Let us make it easy for you to understand how Cloudways web hosting works.

Cloudways hosting plans work on a monthly billing cycle by default, but it is calculated based on the hourly usage rate. Here's how it works:
Choose from different cloud hosting providers like AWS, DigitalOcean, etc
There are 2 types of plans, Premium (more powerful processors) vs Standard
Choose a cloud hosting plan with RAM, CPU, Storage and Bandwidth limits as per your need
Hourly Rate: The cheapest Cloudways hosting plan is with DigitalOcean (1GB RAM, 25GB Storage and 1TB Bandwidth) starting from $11/month plan (hourly rate of $0.02083/hour)
Pay As You Go Billing Cycle: You'll be billed for the exact hours you used. For example: If you only used the server for 10 days, you only pay for those 10-days (10 x 240 hours = $5 approx)

Cloudways is a hosting platform that makes using cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean simple and hassle-free. Instead of dealing with the technical setup and server maintenance yourself, Cloudways handles everything for you since they offer managed cloud hosting plans.
While Cloudways is as much as 2X more expensive than going directly to cloud hosting providers like AWS and DigitalOcean, you get extra benefits like managed hosting, automatic updates, install unlimited CMS apps, and built-in features like Cloudflare CDN without the stress & technicalities of managing servers yourself.
.
Cloudways can be expensive: While the $11/month assumes you use the server for the entire month (24/7 for 30 days) within the given resources limits, if you scale horizontally (e.g. launch multiple websites, install too many apps that eat up more RAM, CPU, Storage resources), your total monthly cost will increase accordingly.
You do not get a free domain
This could feel like a possible con to some but keep in mind that free domains are usually free only for the first year, saving you about ₹1200 ($14) upfront. However, website speed and reliable hosting matter far more in the long run, so avoid prioritizing this short-term perk unless you're on a tight budget.
You do not get a free business email account like you do with some other shared hosting providers.
Though, you can easily set up one with Rackspace add-on on Cloudways for as little as $1/mailbox/month. But this cost would shoot up if you have more team members. So for example, if you have 60 team members needing a business email, your cost will sky rocket to $60 per month which of course becomes substantial over the time.

.

DigitalOcean, the next best cheapest web hosting company in India in 2025. There are again three main reasons why we love DigitalOcean web hosting:
Reason 1: DigitalOcean offers cheaper cloud web hosting starting at $4 per month (₹345 approx) which is highly affordable for startups or new websites. You only pay for what you use with no hidden pricing unlike some other shared hosting providers that only become cheaper upon buying their 2 to 4 years annual plans.
Reason 2: DigitalOcean has become largely developer-friendly in recent years. You have 1-Click installation for Wordpress, Plesk, CyberPanel and databases such as MySQL. Also, you can easily set up free SSL via Let’s Encrypt.
Reason 3: You can host unlimited websites (as long as your plan’s resources are enough for them). DigitalOcean Droplets are highly flexible and allow you to host web apps, SaaS (software as a service) products, manage databases, web servers & pretty much anything else.
If you need cheap, fast and reliable cloud hosting (unmanaged), DigitalOcean stands out as one of the best web hosting providers in India, offering a 99.99% uptime guarantee and a data center in Bangalore to minimize latency for websites that serve the Indian audience.
With the starter plan, you get access to their vast documentation & community help, email support with response time of less than 24 hours and avg resolution time of less than 48 hours. For live chat and Slack & video calls support, customers need to be using their more premium hosting plans.

DigitalOcean’s cloud hosting starts at $4/month, but it’s unmanaged.
Thus, server updates, fixes, and maintenance are all on you. Their support guides you to resources but won’t do the work for you (rightly so), so it’s best for those who know their way around servers, Linux, Command Line, etc. If you need a managed DO cloud hosting, you can go with Cloudways DigitalOcean hosting (mentioned above).
2. With DigitalOcean, getting emails to send without a SMTP plugin is quite a task.
Since it's unmanaged cloud hosting, you need to get the DMARC, SPF and all the other small details right by yourself so that Google Gmail knows it's talking to the authentic server & doesn’t put all your emails into your customers’ spam folder. If that’s too much of a hassle, you may need to use 3rd-party email providers such as MailChimp (free for 500 contacts/month) or Zoho Mail service ($3/month in US and ₹199/mo plan in India)
3. Steep learning curve
DigitalOcean is among the best cloud hosting providers in India, but its steep learning curve makes it less ideal for beginners. A smarter choice is using DigitalOcean via Cloudways, which makes it a managed hosting with features like 1-click staging, built-in SMTP, and hands-on live chat support - well worth the extra cost if you don’t wish to get your hands dirty with every small troubleshooting & fixes.
These are a few important things you should know about DigitalOcean cloud hosting before you sign up for their plans. Of course no web hosting is the best for all. DO Hosting is great for those who know what they are doing.
If you are willing to learn a bit, you can use some panel solutions like CyberPanel (free), CPanel and Plesk that give you a full shared-hosting experience. We’ve also seen devs recommending ServerPilot.io which seem to pair nicely with DigitalOcean (and is free too).💡
Bottom line” DigitalOcean offers one of the best web hosting services in India. Even in 2025, their prices are highly competitive. But, it is not for everyone. So go for it only if you know what you are doing.
.
Decided to go ahead with using DigitalOcean cloud hosting? Get free $200 credit (₹17,283 approx) in your account upon signing up through the link given below. We earn a small portion of your sale without any extra cost to you. You may also want to use DigitalOcean Hosting promo codes to make some savings.

After reviewing a bunch of shared hosting providers, we can confidently say that Hostinger is by far the best shared web hosting company in India to choose. We love Hostinger’s web hosting for the following reasons:
Reason 1: Good for low-traffic websites, static sites and beginners. Hostinger’s shared hosting Premium Plan starts from ₹129/mo if you buy their 4-years package upfront (₹6,192). At such a dirt cheap price, you get plenty of features like a free domain (1-year), free 100 emails (1GB storage/mailbox), free SSL, 100GB SSD, up to 100 websites limit, free automatic migration and a 1-click WordPress installation – all at a fraction of cost compared to other hosting providers.
2. Reason 2: Minimalistic, beginner-friendly and intuitive control panel to manage your hosting. Hostinger’s shared hosting is a managed type of hosting meaning if you get stuck somewhere, you can easily ask the Hostinger team for support. The control panel (H-Panel) is also highly user-friendly making it extremely easy for beginners and new bloggers/website owners to get their website up & running in no time.
3. Reason 3: Good live support that is willing to help. After having used Hostinger for 2+ years, I personally have been more or less pleased with the apt support Hostinger team has provided me the few times I needed their help. Since Hostinger offers managed hosting, their customer support team doesn’t shy away from offering personalised help via Live chat, email and Knowledge-base. This again at a cheap price of just ₹6192 for 4 years is a great deal.
All these reasons already make Hostinger one of the best web hosting companies in India. But there’s one more teeny-tiny benefit that we personally have discovered. Hostinger, unlike most other providers, doesn't shy away from offering a discount code even for renewals. Yep, you can get a 5% discount code on your Hosting renewal with Hostinger (more on this is shared below).
However, remember what we said above, no web hosting company is the best for all. So while Hostinger is cheap and pretty good, it has some cons too.
.

Your renewal cost on Hostinger depends on the very first plan you choose.
For example, if you buy their ₹129/mo (4-year package), your plan shall renew from ₹249 per month starting 5th year. But if you purchased their ₹219/mo (1-year package), your plan will renew at a higher cost of ₹449 per month from 2nd year.
Shorter plans, like 1 or 2 years, have higher monthly costs and much higher renewal rates:
1-Year Plan: ₹219/month first year → ₹449/month on renewal.
2-Year Plan: ₹179/month first two years → ₹339/month on renewal.
Bottom line: Hostinger’s low prices only work if you commit long-term. Shorter plans seem affordable but cost a lot more after renewal. Choose wisely.
2. Hostinger’s Shared Hosting Too Good to be True?
Hostinger’s shared hosting plans may be affordable, but some promises are oversold. For instance, the ₹129/month plan claims to support up to 100 websites. In reality, shared hosting resources like CPU, RAM, and storage are far too limited to handle that many sites effectively.
Similarly, it offers 100 email accounts, but each mailbox is capped at just 1GB of storage. While this might work for beginners, it’s far from ideal if you rely on email for frequent communication.
3. Hostinger shared hosting website speeds aren’t all that great
Shared hosting server speeds be it for any hosting provider has never been something to write home about. But after having personally used Hostinger & comparing other shared hosting providers, we have found Hostinger’s shared servers speed to be quite average about 2.6s to as much as 4.24s. So be ready to invest in a website speed booster plugin like WP Rocket or manually optimize your website code for speed. Also, be sure to choose a server location closest to your audience to avoid further latency issues.

Moving on to our list of the best web hosting companies in India, Kinsta is a name that you are pretty sure to see. Here’s why we love Kinsta web hosting:
Reason 1: Kinsta uses premium Google Cloud Platform for all their hosting plans which has over 37 data centers globally out of which 1 is in Mumbai & another in Delhi. Not just that, Kinsta also adds a layer of managed hosting plus features like 24/7 expert tech support, weekly database optimization to ensure your site runs faster and 1-click WordPress installation which’d cost you extra money & resources if you’d get Google Cloud hosting directly.
2. Reason 2: Kinsta's entire setup is designed specifically to host and manage WordPress sites efficiently. The latest PHP 8.4 is already available within the MyKinsta dashboard. Moreover, there’s also built-in caching for WooCommerce sites along with Kinsta’s custom-built APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tool that helps diagnose and resolve WordPress performance issues quickly. Weekly database optimizations, free CDN, staging environment and Automatic Healing (a tech owned by Kinsta that monitors your servers for bugs and fixes them every minute) are some of the features that makes Kinsta, the best WordPress hosting company in India in 2025.
3. Reason 3: Kinsta is highly expensive, like seriously, what you may be able to do in a budget of $10 (₹866) with a VPS server of DO, Kinsta might charge you as much as 10X. But the customer support, the uptime, the fast server speed, the quality of hosting is truly among the best of all. Needless to say, Kinsta is not for new businesses or startups. If you are a mid-to-large-sized business which doesn’t mind spending thousands of rupees every month for an absolute beast of a site performance, Kinsta is certainly one of the best web hosting companies in India & globally.
But then again, remember we said no hosting provider is the best for all. While Kinsta is undoubtedly one of the best premium web hosting providers of 2025, there are some cons that you must consider before you sign up.
.

Following are some of the cons of Kinsta web hosting that we personally felt:
Expensive with too many upsells:
Kinsta web hosting base plan starts from $35/month (₹3031) which is already higher than most of its competitors. But to get the essential features, you need to pay even more. For example, Redis Object caching costs $100 per month (₹8,658) per site which is highly expensive (and a bummer) when you can get the same with Rocket.net for free. PHP workers (think of them as “workers” who ensure all the dynamic content on your website runs smoothly) are limited to just 2-8 depending on the plan. Need more PHP workers? Pay more (btw Cloudways offers unlimited PHP workers on all plans). This especially affects WooCommerce sites particularly.
2. Kinsta doesn’t support hosting non-WordPress apps
This is very important and often missed out by many. Please know that Kinsta does not offer any support for non-WordPress scripts and apps. Be it Drupal, Joomla, Ruby on Rails apps, Node.js apps, Java-based apps, etc. So keep this in mind before you sign up for Kinsta Wordpress Hosting.

Kinsta doesn’t offer any promo codes or discount coupons as the platform states that it dilutes their brand image. But this doesn’t stop you from making savings on Kinsta, you get to enjoy 2 months free on paying annually.

Siteground web hosting is again a highly reputed name when it comes to finding the best hosting providers in India. Siteground offers both shared as well as cloud hosting. But in this article we are specifically reviewing Siteground’s shared hosting plans which we love for the following reasons:
Reason 1: With all shared hosting plans, you get features which not many shared hosting providers offer such as server-level caching (NGINX Direct Delivery) to boost website loading speed, free CDN integration, PHP 8+ support, truly unlimited emails (total up to 10GB storage), daily backups instead of weekly, quick live chat support (get help within 5 minutes), free automated WordPress transfer and 24/7 human monitoring to fix bugs & issues.
2. Reason 2: Siteground hosting is known for being highly secure. This includes daily backups, real-time server monitoring, AI-anti-bot system, custom WAF rules, and automatic WordPress core updates. Their proactive security team regularly patches vulnerabilities and blocks IPs showing malicious behavior. It even offers better security than Hostinger shared hosting.
.

Drastic hike in plans pricing from next year onwards
Siteground’s first year pricing for a shared hosting plan starts from $2.99 (₹259) and jumps to a straight up $17.99 (₹1557) per month starting next year. This is far more expensive than what you need to pay with shared hosting providers like Hostinger starting from as cheap as ₹129 per month and ₹249/mo on renewal. Instead of paying as much as $17.99 (₹1557) per month to Siteground shared hosting plan, you might be better off buying Cloudways managed cloud hosting which starts from $11 (₹952) or get DO unmanaged Cloud Hosting starting $5 (₹432/mo) if you can handle a server all by yourself. Also did we mention Siteground renews your hosting 15 days prior to the renewal date?
2. Shared hosting CPU limits, inodes and storage space gets exhausted pretty quickly
Siteground offers only 10GB SSD Storage on its cheapest shared hosting plan vs Hostinger’s 100GB SSD and Bluehost’s 50GB space limit. Moreover, the CPU seconds usage limit is far too low in SiteGround that even a website with 3K page views gets you a warning of “limit exhaustion.” To make all this work, one needs to ensure that their website is highly optimised - don’t install or use too many heavy-resource driven plugins in the background, install the latest PHP version, limit custom scripts & MySQL queries, do trial and error with plugins like CloudFilt or StopBadBots (with backup) to further limit bot traffic, be careful with page editors. If all of this sounds too much of a hassle, you are better off not buying SiteGround shared hosting.
.
Bottom line: SiteGround shared hosting is good for small websites and if site security is highly important to you. The live chat support is pretty good as well. Siteground promises to solve most queries within 5-minutes. So if those things are highly important, Siteground shared hosting might make some sense (with their bizarrely inflated pricing next year onwards). But if those are not unimportant, drop SG and select some other shared hosting providers.
.
SiteGround doesn’t easily offer any discounts or promo codes on SiteGround hosting plans. However, one can grab an easy 83% OFF on their first year of hosting + get free domain + get free site transfer on all plans. So if you have made your mind to go ahead with SiteGround hosting, be sure to grab this offer.

Namecheap is one of the best shared hosting providers in India in 2025 for various reasons. The prices are reasonable starting from as low ₹178/mo and give a pretty tough competition to other shared hosting providers in India. Here’s why we love Namecheap hosting:
Reason 1: Namecheap shared hosting prices are pretty affordable & predictable. For example, their cheapest Stellar plan starts at $1.98 (₹178/mo) and increases to $4.88 (₹422/mo) upon renewal. You get 20GB SSD, up to 3 websites, unmetered bandwidth, 30 email accounts, & much more. This can be great for new businesses, startups and small websites who are looking for cheap yet good shared hosting for the long-term.
2. Reason 2: You get plenty enough to host multiple websites (small sized) at an affordable price. For example, the Stellar Plus plan starting at ₹258/mo which becomes ₹561/mo upon renewal offers unlimited SSD space, free domain, unlimited websites, free migration within 24 hours (or get 1-year hosting free), Free SSL, unlimited email accounts & mailing lists, unlimited MySQL Databases, 1-click installation of WordPress & much more.
3. Reason 3: Wide support for deploying diverse web-apps using Python, Ruby, Node.JS, MariaDB, CGI, Javascript, PHP, Perl, etc. There’s also a Polls & Survey option, C-panel and a Virus Scanner which usually come at a price when going with other shared hosting providers.

Here are a few things about Namecheap hosting that we particularly didn’t find great:
Namecheap doesn’t have any data centers in India
This is very important if you are buying Namecheap hosting in India and cater to an Indian/Asian audience, you might want to reconsider your decision. Namecheap as of today (17th January, 2025) doesn’t have any data centers in India and thus the website speed is as high as 4s (terrible). Moreover, if you need your server location to be UK, you need to pull out $1/mo (₹87/mo).
2. Poor load handing in shared hosting plans
They seem to cram too many websites together on their shared hosting plans (similar to other host providers) but the real problem arises due to the limited number of data centers located globally (just 3 to 4) which creates major slowdowns. Add in some users hogging the 'unlimited' bandwidth and no proper caching system, and you've got a recipe for poor performance, especially during busy times.
3. Average support and a few hiccups
There was a time when Namecheap customer support was considered to be among the most reliable ones. However over the years, Namecheap customer service has largely boiled down to live chat help which doesn’t always give a 100% satisfactory resolution. So you have to be a bit patient to find what you are looking for.

Milesweb might sound like a new name to some but it is amongst the highly reputed names in the web hosting space in India. You get cloud hosting starting from ₹599 (3-year plan) with 4GB RAM, 400 websites limit and 100 PHP workers (let us refresh your memory, Kinsta offers mere 2-8 PHP Workers in their $35/mo plan). Here are some of the reasons why we recommend Milesweb Web Hosting in India in 2025:
Reason 1: Milesweb managed cloud hosting starts from as low as ₹599 (3-year plan, renews at ₹1499/mo) and offers 400 websites limit, 2,25,000 visitors limit, 100 PHP Workers, free domain (1st-year), 4GB RAM, 2 CPU Cores, 250GB SSD space and a staggering 30,00,000 inodes limit. All of this at a much affordable price compared to what other managed cloud hosting providers typically charge.
2. Reason 2: Milesweb infrastructure is based on CloudLinux with LVE containers which isolate each hosting account, ensuring stable resource allocation (CPU, RAM) and preventing one account from affecting others. The lowest speed observed for a Milesweb hosted website is 1.16s and the longest has been around 3.36s which is still much better compared to most other Indian web hosting companies. Milesweb also has one of the best load handling for such an affordable price.
3. Reason 3: Milesweb customer support is fairly helpful via 24/7 live chat & call option and their managed cloud hosting plans come with premium CDN, cPanel, priority support - all for free. These features typically cost more with other managed cloud hosting providers. There’s also support for diverse platforms such as WordPress, PHP, WooCommerce, Node.JS, Python, Django, and Terminal. What’s even better is that their cheapest managed cloud hosting plan comes with support for up to 2.25 Lakh visitors per month. This makes it a great web hosting company in India to choose for all including new startups and SMEs..

Here are some of the possible cons of Milesweb cloud hosting that we found in our review:
Limited data centers: Milesweb has a total of 6 data centers globally - US, UK, India, Singapore, Australia and Canada. However, with their cloud hosting plan, users only get 3 data center options - India, US and UK. This shouldn’t be a problem if you are okay with having a data center in one of those three locations but if you need more options you’ll need to use their VPS hosting plans. Also, earlier their shared hosting plans were limited to only India data centers. However, we decided to check this again and it seems they have now fixed this by allowing more data center options in their shared hosting plans too. But still overall, Milesweb’s 6 data centers fall short in front of its competitors like Cloudways which has 60+ data centers, Kinsta’s 25+ data centers and DigitalOcean’s 15 data centers globally.
2. Backups need to be better: Milesweb Backup system is quite limited. Backup of files and folders has a retention period of just 1-day. Daily backup of the database is also restricted to 7-days retention period. They do allow on-demand manual backup but users first need to raise a support ticket for the same. But thankfully, they do allow manual backup so if you can install a free automated backup plugin like Updraft Plus, you can pretty much automate the backup process.
3. Milesweb interface is not as intuitive as Cloudways & some other hosting providers have. You get a pretty basic interface and their occasional marketing popups trying to resell their hosting services doesn’t quite elevate the overall experience. The Premium CDN which they claim to offer for free comes with certain limitations. For example, you cannot activate CDN from your dashboard and need to reach out to their support team for the same. The premium CDN apparently is also not of Cloudflare. It’s rather Quick.cloud CDN which is not bad but I wish Milesweb could specify this on their plans pricing page itself.

There was a time when the most “popular” hosting providers were considered to be the best because they were/are excellent at their marketing. However times have changed now for the good. Now, most customers invest a good amount of time reading actual customer reviews on sites like Trustpilot and Reddit. Thus, a hosting provider doesn’t have to be the most “popular” one to be considered the best. Scala Hosting is one of them. You might have not heard of them but did you know they are rated #1 by Trustpilot reviews (shared by actual users like yourself and myself)?
Here’s why we consider Scala web hosting to be among the best web hosting companies in India in 2025:
1. Reason 1: Scala shared hosting prices start from as low as ₹254/mo or $2.95/m (3-year plan) and offer some unique benefits like support to custom PHP, Python & Perl, unlimited MySQL databases and a fixed 10GB NVME SSD ensuring your website doesn’t suffer because other websites are eating up too much disk space. There’s also an Anytime Moneyback Guarantee that allows customers to ask for a full refund (within 30 days) or a partial refund (after activating & using the services). This is again something that rarely any hosting provider offers.
2. Reason 2: Get premium features like free CDN, C-Panel, Wordpress staging and unlimited bandwidth even on the cheapest plan. This is again a huge upside of choosing Scala Hosting especially if you combine it with their fixed SSD Storage. While other hosting providers usually limit visitors on shared hosting plans, Scala Hosting doesn’t have any limit on website visitors per month. Of course, it depends on your resources limits too but they promise to support up to 3000 visitors/day on their shared hosting plans
3. Reason 3: Scala Hosting customer support is termed to be one of the best by thousands of reviews. You get access to their knowledgeable tech support via live chat (instant) or by ticket (15 minutes response time). You can expect to get help on any server or hosting-related issues.

No data centers in India & Asia regions for all shared hosting plans: At the time of writing this article (January, 2025), Scala Hosting doesn’t have data centers in Asia regions including India which can be a big downside if you are planning to create a website on an Indian server. However, if you decide to choose AWS or DO via Scala, you do get an option then to use the AWS or DO data center of Mumbai. But for all shared hosting plans, you are left to choose between the USA (Dallas or New York) or Europe.
2. Runs on Apache server by default: Scala shared web hosting plans run on Apache server by default which is fine but not as good as Litespeed. This also means that Scala shared hosting doesn’t offer a cache management system. The saving point however is that customers can request to shift their server to OpenLiteSpeed through their S-panel and then install the Litespeed cache plugin. But I wish this was a default setting and not required extra efforts for.
3. Becomes expensive once your introductory plan expires: This is kind of a standard practice done by most shared hosting providers. The first 3-years cost much less from the next year onwards, customers are required to pay 4 times as much. Sadly, Scala shared hosting plans are no different. The cheapest plan costs ₹254/mo or $2.95/m for the first 3 years and then shoots up to $10.95/mo or ₹947/mo from next year onwards.
Despite the few cons Scala web hosting has, we’d still recommend them as one of the best shared hosting companies in India in 2025. Thanks to their fast server speed (in regions where they have data centers), features like website staging, pay as you go, anytime moneyback guarantee and unlimited bandwidth on the cheapest plan that not many providers offer and much more.
