Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has once again launched 2 new prepaid plans for its users priced at Rs.269 and Rs.769. In August 2022, the telecom company also launched an Rs.2022 prepaid plan with “unlimited” data benefits. While these new prepaid plans certainly do not offer such “unlimited” benefits, they can be good for those looking for rounded validities such as 30 days or 90 days.

The STV 269 and STV 769, two new prepaid plans of BSNL offer mostly the same features and benefits. However, the only major difference is in their plan validity period. The new Rs.269 BSNL Prepaid Plan offers 30-days validity while the Rs.769 prepaid plan offers 90 days validity.

Both plans allow you to keep caller tunes of your choice without limitations

BSNL Rs.269 New Prepaid Plan
  • Data: 2GB daily data (speed reduced to 40Kbps after extending limit)

  • Plan Validity: valid for 30 days

  • Voice Calling: Unlimited voice calling facility

  • SMS limit: 100 SMS per day benefit

  • EROS Now Entertainment Service & more

BSNL Rs.769 New Prepaid Plan
  • Data: 2GB daily data (speed reduced to 40Kbps after extending limit)

  • Plan Validity: valid for 90 days

  • Voice Calling: Unlimited voice calling facility

  • SMS limit: 100 SMS per day benefit

  • EROS Now Entertainment Service & more

So these were the two new prepaid plans recently launched by BSNL. These plans are live on the BSNL website as well in their “voice vouchers” offers.

BSNL was also in talks to launch its 4G services “soon.” Finally, the Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL, Mr.Purwar said, “The first rollout (of planned BSNL 4G network) should take place in November this year, 2022

When asked about BSNL’s plans on launching its 5G service, Mr.Purwar said, “The minister has given us a clear path that August 15, 2023, should be the date when BSNL should be in the 5G domain. We are working in the direction which we have received. We should be able to meet it (the target timeline).”

With the advent of Jio and the high-speed service of Airtel, a lot of consumers have stopped using the age-old telecom operator, BSNL. While its other competitors such as Airtel, and Jio have already launched their 5G networks, BSNL is still planning to launch its 4G network by November this year in 2022. Nevertheless, the prepaid plans by BSNL are still considerable and can be cheaper alternatives in some cases.

Bro , fed up with BsNL fake promises.... 4G had officially been rollout by 15th August 2022, but again it is postponed to November 2022, No expectations on 5G ....and definitely they will do it somewhere in 2025.... I know people will say they will setup hardware for 4G with less upgradation to 5G, but from the past experiences .... Atleast I'm not wondering that 5G in August 2023.... Although i'm using bsnl 3G in the generation of 5G communication.... And had seen tremendous work upgrade in 3G.... Majority network coverage everywhere.... ..

Govt is again putting money in a company based on just false promises and fake expectations just like they did with air India Finally after making massive loses they will sell it off Fighting with tcs to implement 4g when all telecom is moving to 5g not at all understandable The recent experience with Bsnl networks is very poor , not even can use as a backup sim because of confusing prepaid packs and voucher options

Bsnl will get 4g and 5g when they will be 'asset monetized' to jio.

Privatalisation is the key..
