Jio announces the launch of Jio True 5G: Invited users get unlimited 5G data!

The Jio 5G topic has been a buzzing one in the telecom industry along with other telecom companies such as Airtel & Vodafone taking part in the 5G race. Recently on the 1st of October, the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) was held in which Jio presented a “successful demonstration” of its 5G Services. Post the successful demonstration, the telecom network giant announced the Beta Trial of its Jio True 5G Service on the occasion of Dussehra for Jio users in 4 cities named Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi & Kolkata with Jio 5G Welcome offer invitations to select users.

Jio says that the user experience feedback provided by these invited Jio users will help the brand provide the best customer experience to its users. Let’s have a look at the complete details of the Jio True 5G Welcome Offer invitation.

• The Jio True 5G Welcome Offer is currently launched in 4 cities - Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi & Varanasi

• Jio users with Jio 5G invitation can get unlimited 5G data and a 1Gbps+ speed

• The telecom operator, Jio, said that the Beta trial of its Jio 5G Service will be progressively launched in other cities too

• The invited users can avail of this free beta trial of Jio 5G until the network coverage of the city is “substantially complete.”

• Invited Jio 5G Welcome Offer users will automatically get upgraded to the Jio True 5G service without having to change their existing Jio SIM

As of now, Reliance Jio has not disclosed any information on the steps to get invited for the Jio 5G service beta trials. One needs to be invited by Jio itself to receive a Jio 5G Welcome Offer invite. However, you do need to be from Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi or Delhi to be eligible to receive Jio 5G invite.

Jio said in a press release that the Jio True 5G is to be the world’s most advanced 5G service. Well, we certainly can’t deny that Jio has been making some noteworthy progress in bringing 5G service to India boasting the largest and the best mix of the spectrum along with being the only operator to have 700MHz low band spectrum for deeper indoor coverage.

The Jio 5G Welcome Offer is a beta trial run by Jio wherein invited Jio users from Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi & Kolkata can get unlimited 5G data to use with a 1Gbps+ speed. 5G Smartphones users will also automatically get upgraded to 5G without having to change their existing 4G SIM.

No, you can use Airtel or Jio's 5G Service on your 4G SIM as well given your smartphone is a 5G device. Though you would be able to use a 5G SIM card in your 4G phone as well, it would still be providing you 4G networks. 

Reliance Jio has not revealed any criteria to be eligible to get invited for the Jio 5G Welcome Offer. But you must be from the four cities Jio has decided to launch the 5G Services in, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Delhi. Next, it would be an independent decision by Jio to offer you a Jio 5G Welcome Offer invitation.  

Jio announced the Jio Air Fiber 5G which is a 5G hotspot plug & play device that can provide your system with high-speed fiber connectivity. Unlike Jio Fiber, Jio Air Fiber is portable and can be carried anywhere you want.

Currently, Jio is only offering the beta trial of its True 5G service through its Jio 5G Welcome Offer invitation wherein invited Jio users can get to use unlimited 5G data and a 1Gbps+ speed

On October 4th 2022, Reliance Jio announced to launch of the beta trial of its Jio True 5G service on October 5th in 4 cities named Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi and Delhi on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. Currently, you can only use Jio 5G through Jio Welcome Offer invite.
