What is an AI-powered Washing Machine?

In the washing machine industry, AI-powered washing machines are the latest invention. This artificial intelligence technology will understand the washing cycles, hours, and other preferences of their consumers. Users will be able to monitor these AI-powered washing machines using their smartphones or voice assistants. This decision was taken to provide consumers with a new standard of comfort.

How does an AI-Powered Washing machine Work?

Samsung is one of the first companies to announce that AI-enabled washing machines will be available in India. These washing machines will have 3 distinct features: a laundry planner, a laundry recipe, and a homecare wizard.

Laundry Planner - Users can use the Laundry Planner to schedule the end time of their laundry.

Laundry Recipe - Laundry Recipe gives automated suggestions for optimum wash cycles depending on the info entered by the user, such as colour, fabric type, and degree of soiling, removing the need to guess which cycle is better.

Homecare Wizard - Homecare Wizard warns consumers of possible problems and offers fast troubleshooting.

As per Samsung, COUNTRY OF ORIGIN is Vietnam

Instead things like Drum Clean+/Stay Clean Drawer, Samsung should have invested in keeping the drum cleaned from ‘outside’ meaning the section of drum not visible and is concealed within a cavity usually called as ‘tub’. Especially the spider arm which drives the drum. That’s where all dirt accumulates corroding the spider arm making washing machine useless. Also they need to invest in better material for the spider arm. Something which is corrosion free.

This problem is with ALL front load washing machines irrespective of brand and the price range. I have no experience with top load so no idea if its the same case with them too.

All these AI/IoT etc etc should be on top of well sorted base technology. For now its just a marketing gimmick.
