If you want to stick to slandering them and asking for a gift card when they have not even received your money then you may continue to do so. On the other hand, if you want an actual resolution of the issue, contact your bank and ask them to cancel the transaction or initiate a chargeback as I suggested earlier.

For People Whose Orders were Cancelled But the Money was Deducted

On February 17, one of my transactions ended up in the weird state mentioned above. GiftBig email/chat support bluntly said they have not “received” or “captured” the money and asked me to contact my bank. So I finally contacted my bank today when I did not see any auto-reversal of the transaction after more than 48 hours.

My bank provided me the transaction “approval numbers” for all of my GiftBig orders. An hour ago, when I called GiftBig support and gave them the suspected approval number (last transaction, duh!), they discovered that there was some internal issue because of which a wrong transaction ID got associated with my order. This is why when they tracked with the order number, they could not see the payment for that order. They could see a different pending order associated with the bank approval number I gave them. They apologized profusely for this mess up and offered me a choice to either get the refund or the originally ordered GV. I chose to get the GV. Within a minute of getting off the phone, I received the GV on my email.

This is what has worked for me. It’s up to you whether you want to follow my workflow towards success or not. Hope this is helpful for somebody.

For me all my 5 transaction had failed …
steps I followed
1) i noted all my order id
2) Their e-mail support is a “joke”, so waited till the next day to call to cc( try around 9am to 10am)
3) With an hour got all my gv’s

P.S. if u don;t have your order id ,try with order name r mail id…cheers

I don’t know if they are outright fraud but it sure is a very unprofessional and incompetent website which at least I’m unlikely to patronize again. I feel they are more than deserving of whatever little slander you have hurled against them for wasting your time.

I got a call from giftbig this morning and they mentioned that there was some issue at their end and they have got the money and asked me if I wanted the GV or cash back.. This despite me having done nothing because I did not have bank transaction id.

So I think those doubting professionalism of Giftbig can take a breather.

I have transacted with them earlier too. Good offers but were usually limited to 1 or two transactions per mobile number. This time around, probably they didn’t expect this much volume, especially since initially they had specified it for 14 hours only.

From my side, despite the hiccups, it was worth it.

I support you here buddy i never understood the folks who are unnecessarily blaming on an awesome offer!!! Like kids getting free candies they ordered and started complaining about it, even i had a missed voucher but on calling them and giving all the details they processed it in a hour!

I know that! But buying them from Amazon and Flipkart has always been a painless experience. Its buying them directly that has been an unpleasant experience.
