Price drop depends on market demand. Lets see how it goes
yes bro price depend on market demand..
example : Samsung galaxy s4. launch @ approx 40000rs and now only 28000.:-}
Considering that this phone is not the “made in USA” one, I think the price could have been better due to cheaper labour in China.
Expect some promo codes or price correction from Motorola in around 1 month.
At the moment, they are just experimenting with high price.
So, hold your horses.

Demand is a crucial factor, but then something I feel important is that Flipkart is the exclusive seller… They have no competition as of now and will continue to be the exclusive seller, once this monopoly ends a gradual price cut can start

if moto x price are 25000 – 26000, then totally flop phone, because nexus 5 and s4 had better hardware than moto x, and both phone price around 27000.:-}
Spec wars are pointless. More CPU cores, more RAM, more megapixels, higher PPI, etc. do not make a phone better. There is much more to a phone than just the specs… phones like Moto X have proved this. Moto X is a great phone… much better than Galaxy S4 and other flagship phones.
I would like to know if more cpu cores are useless, more ram, higher ppi are useless than whatr to look in a phone. Can you tell me how Motox is a better phone than nexus5 and s4. For me Moto X is overpriced phone and it is better to avoid this phone at this price.

let me explain:
1. hardware is not costly, real cost lies in research and development.
2. Snapdragon 805+ 4 gb ram+ 5" qHD display+4000 mAh battery+ premium metal is NEVER equal to a GOOD PHONE
3. All the hardware must be balanced and optimized not to bottelneck each other. And at the same time it must be streamlined with software.
4. Living examples are the Chinese phones which look better on paper but suck in real life.
5. ever wonder how google listens and follows your broken Indian accent so accurately? it takes complex algorithms equal to massive computing power which equals to money.
6. Research=Money
FYI:
Moto X battery performs better than htc one and s4
Moto X ppi are roughly equal to that of iphone 5
at this price stage nexus 4 and xperia zr is best choice. if spend 2000-3000 more then s4 and nexus 5 is best choice.

Absolutely not, I didn’t say MotoX is better than S4 or Nexus or HTC one!
My point is top hardware doesn’t translate into top real life performance ! nothin’ more nothin’ less!
And also, I believe Moto X is more innovative than S4 & nexus!
(for the record, my personal preference is HTC One, though there is no such competition here)

Relatively good review. Thanks for posting. What the forgot to mention is that even in the basics like removable battery and memory, the GS4 wins hands down.
Seems like the success of Moto G embolden Moto to go way too optimistic on the price. Hope the Indian market forces to rethink the pricing.
Another way of comaparing is benchmark scores … have a look …
Also remember when you compare S4 with Moto X , Storage becomes a huge huge factor !!! Moto X does not have an expandable storage which means you only have 11.5 GB (in a 16Gb ) edition to use !! Which for me is pretty less these days with the size of games coming in !! A 24k without an external storage is real downer for me !! And it’s also not nexus with the promise of continuous updates (which sweetens the deal to no further extent ) !! Should have been bit better price to become a market rage !!
HW ABT Z1 COMPACT ???? I THINK ITS BTR THAN MOTO X

Rs. 1000 cashback is applicable when you buy on EMI. So, effectively this cashback is nothing but emi’s interest reversal..
Its single SIM only..
Next point, for just 2k extra, you get nexus 5.. which is lot better (still pathetic though ). (found this image on internet)
Now you may argue that nexus5 just better in spec terms or only on paper, etc etc.. but it is for sure stronger, much stronger than motoX.
Now the irony: Something already weaker on paper will work better than something much stronger on paper.. That’s slightly hard to digest, but as some users cited their experience, may happen!
After 3-4 months usage, almost all android phones slow down and start to lag. I haven’t seen any exception to this till now. Not a single device. I guess its some sort of memory issue with android itself.. So your nexus or moto, all are bound to see this!
But one thing for sure, Nexus 5 design is awesome and cool!!
I would like to tell you Moto X has a pathetic camera. There is no comparison with NExus 5 and S4 camera. I am not sure why this phone is so much high priced and there are many good options are available at this price.
