Just removed the filters on the nozzles using paper clip ,needle and took out the foam inside it
Its a good thing to do that, it does boost sound but remember that the foam is present only to protect the driver from heat,cold, sweat and dust. Keep us updated with changes in IEM

wow! someone here was cribbin about 1000 being too high a price for these headphones. he should see this.
I got them today and so far I am very happy with my purchase. Packaging was very good. built quality and sound quality is very good as well.Much much better than my previous soundmagic PL11 and PL30 and they were costlier than this.

Those who are having trouble inserting this, try using inserting it over the ear, makes it much more comfortable & gives much better fit overall. Add ear hoops/loops (like this one for example : http://www.ebay.com/itm/?item=251499…10) for much better comfort + great look too! Try to choose a size that fits you exactly(or maybe tight) in straight down fit & try to insert it from over the ear, fits much better. Can’t believe how great this sounds with perfect fit, bass will blow you away for sure!

Bro, no offence but skull candy, sony nd sennheisers which you get in tht price range are total crap. Believe me. Ive a collection of earphones ranging frm as low as 350rs to 12000. And i own a piston 2 too.. and i must say its far superior than its rivals in both build and sound quality within the same price brkt. Also there is a huge diff in sound quality between piston 1 and 2.Piston 1 has more bass while poston 2 is more balanced wit amazing soundstage. Also another distinguishing fact for piston 2’s from piston 1 is that piston 2 box smells of sweet chocolate(coco) ppl looking fr a vry low budget earphones under 500rs, go fr philips she3580/3590. Ull b amazed how good this 390rs earphone sounds. There is quite a bit of fan following fr these little monsters. Do ur research if u are still not convinced.

So can a pair of in ear headphones survive 10 mins in a washing machine?
yesterday night i forgot my heaphones in my pants when i threw them into the washing machine. they were there inside for a good 10 mins until i realised to my horror what i had done!! i saw the headphones fully soaked, all wet and heavy cos of the water. was almost in tears seeing what i did to my lovely headphones. i was so sure that they were dead now. i had put detergent also with the clothes. so…
its 20 hours now since i pulled them out of the machine. just prayed and plugged it into my phone. And then…… Bob marley was jammin again in my ears just the way he always does!! Can you believe that!! They are just like how they were before. No loss of volume or bass or any kind of interruptions/noise not even a tiny bit, as if it was made waterproof!
I was simply amazed at the ruggedness of these headphones. i was so sure that they were gone..
now i challenge some people here to say bs about these headphones. especially one idiot who was saying chinese chinese all the time and insulting whoever liked xiaomi.
im so sure for 800 theres simply no other headphones that can beat piston. recently bought a sennheiser hd 202 for 1600. and that isnt half as good as piston. look at the reviews of that thing all over the net. youll be amazed. of course that is an over the ear headset. still its double the price so i expect atleast same performance..
anyway just wanted to share my happiness with mi fans here. and please haters goto hell!
i am not a mod so won’t say much.. but better mind you language… BTW even i like these earphones and i also have Redmi 1S and Note… But such words are simply not acceptable….
coming to your point of these being rugged, that’s somewhat true but it’s true for almost all earphones… i have even tested it on few old LG/Nokia phones(accidentally of course) they were washed but then dried for a couple of days and worked like before…. Coming to earphones…. if u dry them properly most of the times nothing happens to them be it of any brand…..
