I thought of buying a used one. But then had a second thought when the headache of repairing and replacing worn out parts came into my mind. if I get a new one for around 8k, I think I will buy it… I can see a kelvinator one for 10.5k on FK, hoping for an even cheaper one…

I had seen that deal but I was not in need of a washing machine then… But now, when I need it, can’t find any good deals around

go for inquiry at various stores offline; leave ur number with their sales person. they shall keep u posted on various offers
@userid at-least 5 people directly tried to help you. you’ve been here long enough and even otherwise
would know that a polite courtesy (even if fake Bigg Boss type) of thanking them for taking the time out makes for good etiquette.
please do not take it otherwise, it was just a thought i felt like speaking out loud.
Having said that, i’d go on to request what is often requested in such ‘near blank’ deal-baba specific topics

cheap?
cheap as in; absolute money-wise ? or value to performance ratio?
if you have a tentative budget to help one decide ?
I think a LG top-load or even that Samsung posted above for anything under 15-16000 for an average use
for a family of three or four (6.2-6.5Kg load) is still a good buy, considering these are supposed to serve one for 15-20 years.
[i am assuming that last part.the make has to be good enough to survive that long. also, not sure if this is a stop-gap or temporary requirement.]
just got my haier, at around 12-13K. Works fine
