Flipkart Review - Negative
I had posted a negative feedback on Flipkart site for a product that I had ordered but didn’t receive it even after waiting 5 business days. I spoke multiple times to many of their reps during these 5 days and everyone gave me a different reply asking to wait 24/48 hours. They even said that it was shipped but never updated shipping details on site. No one gave me an exact status. Finally after 5 days I sent an email asking for an exact status and I was told it had been cancelled. Amazing. I then posted a negative review on the product page stating how bad Flipkart customer care, delivery and service is.
Yesterday I received an email from FK stating that I need to edit my review because it doesn’t talk about the product and other buyers wouldn’t get a clear picture of product. And they removed my negative feedback from site.
So basically, if a customer talks good about flipkart delivery and service, they are okay with that feedback on their site on any product page even if it doesn’t talk about product at all but if a negative feedback is there, they remove it. They don’t want to show their ugly face.
Usually I don’t order such costly products online and such heavy ones (20kg Microwave) but I had read good about flipkart and had ordered a Hair Clipper earlier, my experience was good so I took the chance. But it was interesting to see how they deal with bulk products (they call this a bulk item for shipment which is ok), how they don’t update shipping details on order page, and how they deal with negative feedback.
Unfortunately, Panasonic microwave that I ordered wasn’t avaialble near by my house so I had no option but to place order again on flipkart. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bought this from them. This time I didn’t call them at all as I was least bothered. They didn’t update shipping details even after 5 days. On fifth day when it was out for delivery, then only they updated the details. On order page, it said the product will be shipped next day from order date. They sent an email after 2 days that shipment will be delayed by 2-3 business days. This email they had sent on previous order also that was cancelled. No one will give you exact status on customer care even if you call.

I just wanted to share this with you guys so you know that every page may have had negative feedbacks too that they removed. I was planning to order at least two more products from flipkart in about 2-3 days but have dropped the idea now.

Previously, I was posting too much on DD because I had plenty of free time. I’d never left DD but said that I’ll concentrate on making a website (something constructive) rather than posting on DD to kill time. I’m still working on that front, albeit slow.
I must tell you I’m not in trouble with Flipkart at all. I started this thread when my transaction with FK was over. Usually I don’t get into much trouble while transacting online because I follow a set of rules, some listed on following thread, and few more:

The only reason I posted this was to educate online users about another reality of FK. Most people consider FK to be good including myself but this was new to me so I just wanted to share this with you guys. DD being one of the most active forums around attracts lot of REAL online buyers; so it made all the more sense to post here.
Lot of people talk about changing the world, changing everything but that’s just not possible. I also believe in the same thing but I can’t change the whole world. All I can do it “do my bit”, as much as possible. By this post, I am doing my bit to make online shopping easier and safer, in India. I don’t make money by this post, DD makes money by more content and more traffic, I lose my time and effort but I educate other buyers about realities of online shopping sites. That’s all I’m doing just like many others here do.
Believing or not believing this post is your headache. I’ve done my bit.
There is an attitude I see in many people around. That if they behave in a very refined manner, they tend to think that those who do not do so are not good and whatever they say is just unimportant.
Remember, behaving well is also a conditioning forced upon us (by ourselves or by others). So well behaved persons are not much different from blunt or impolite ones. It’s just that the society is not at ease with the latter. But inside both are one and the same.

Fair enough….see this is what I wanted to see in your posts….respect & affection for fellow dimers. As close knit community its important that constituents maintain harmony at all times.
Now here’s a thing….instead of the word educate, it would have been far-better had you used “aware”.
Regarding your time or effort or DD making money…..look no-body is forcing or asking you to post….you are posting because you want to. We & other dimers are also devoting time to DD, why because they like to….they have developed a bond among themselves & feel like they are at home here.
Nothing more but some attitude adjustment or change of angle of sight is required…..the whole World will appear nicer!

A person is judged by the way he speaks….conducts himself in society. Nobody can peep inside & see how a person is. Therefore being polite or sweet would do good to ones own reputation only, not others!

There’s also a difference between being impolite/refined & outrightly going against the Community. Behavior is what constitutes ones personality…..great that Community can instill good-behavior in someone.

bro – IMO, it goes like this.
Merchant XYZ – out of 100 orders placed, 10 are failure/reported
Merchant PQR – out of 100 orders placed, 20 are failure/reported
Merchant ABC – out of 100 orders placed, 50 are failure/reported
Merchant TMT – out of 100 orders placed, 99 are failure/reported (you know whom i am talking about)
So obviously XYZ stands best but it does not mean its perfect. Same with FK in my opinion.
I still consider them to be the best among all the sites I know.

Bhai, I said, add it as note of precaution. Have you ever seen me abusing any dimer? But I was suspended on that allegation only. So, even if you make a humourous comment, you may be charged of abusing.

Yes. I agree with you. We are just looking for the best of those in the market.
When I received a leaky steam iron from flipkart, they sent the replacement and only then took the previous one. They did not ask for a photo or video or tell me, go to the service centre as it carried manufacturer warranty. Nothing. Just a phone call and the very next day, I received the new one. The delivery guy took the old one then. (But the second one was also leaky and so they took it back and refunded me in 15 days. That’s another story.) Can one ever even imagine of such a thing from other sites? I don’t know. Let the fellow dimers share their experiences.
And in my case, when I wrote a positive comment of their services, they mailed me asking me to remove it as the reviews were only for products and they were planning to come up with a separate section for site reviews. But they are still planning, it seems.
