Dhaka attack: ‘I don’t know if I will be alive’, Tarishi Jain told dad
http://www.deccanchronicle.com/nation/in-other-...
Tarishi Jain, the 19-year-old girl who was killed in the terror attack on an upscale Bangladesh café on Saturday, called up her father Sanjiv Jain while trying to hide herself from the terrorists.
According to a report, she told her father that, “Terrorists have entered the restaurant. I am very afraid and not sure whether I will be able to come out alive. They are killing everyone.”
Tarishi had been hiding inside a toilet of the café with her two friends, Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain and Abinta Kabir.
Sanjiv Jain had been waiting outside Gulshan Café ever since he got the news that armed men were on a killing spree inside. He was had been planning to bring his wife and two children to Firozabad in UP for a short holiday before Tarishi headed back to the US where she was an Economics undergraduate at the University of California.
The whole night, Sanjiv and several other families gathered outside the restaurant anxiously. But by the time the terrorists had been neutralised by Bangladeshi security forces, Tarishi was dead. She was the only Indian killed in the attack which left 20 dead.
Tarishi’s uncle Rakesh Mohan Jain also said that the family had waited the entire night to hear news of her safety.
Tarishi was in Bangladesh as she had received an internship with a bank through the Institute for South Asia Studies at her university.
Tarishi’s brother Sanchit had landed in Delhi from Canada a day earlier so that the family of four along with mother Tulika could all head to Firozabad for a family reunion. But it was not to be.
“We don’t want her to be cremated in the land where she was brutally murdered. Terrorists killed her for being a Hindu,” Sanjiv’s younger brother Rakesh Mohan Jain was quoted as saying.

Yes. No one is Doodh ka Dhula. Terrorism is not related to religion propagation of any kind. And I think it’s even older business than prostitution since oldest times. Nowadays, their hierarchical structure is no less than that of a corporation.
Most of countries know USA is the root of this cause.

narcissistic self-centred disk-heads !
but for their connivance OR incompetence (reluctance)
or without their implicit/explicit knowledge (sometimes approval) ,
most of the problems in (even the most under developed ones) society would have been eradicated to a large extent.
it doesn’t take much effort and practically zero accountability to say just the right things or create photo-op moments
without actually meaning any of that or even following up in real action.
by saying what they say in such situations, most (if not all) netas (and abhinetas) only seem to be catering to their chair, their image and thereby their power.

@Spock terrorists say they r taking revenge for their ancestors and that way its their way of showing love towards them by killing those who were somehow they feel responsible for their ancestore deaths
this is a debatable one theory what to say to them is it their height of love that they do terrorism

what YOU wrote is completely unacceptable.
as @Beinghuman very aptly but politely pointed out .. you just killed her twice !
may be the crude way of putting it would be thus →
so for you, it would have been okay to discuss her in these words ? → kya maal lagti thi/hai ??
is that what you’d be calling, every dead or alive person who in your perception is attractive as per your libido: a babe !
i would not be responding here any further to any senseless or tangential cross-talk. then be it be from चक्रवर्ती अशोक मौर्य expecting a response. (despite not having the minimal courtesy to check and acknowledge chat pings received by them.)

Seems @sparkles is here ?
@Spock there are many who r killed each day.. only some cases catch attention wondered why ? basically those who r caught to our eyeballs are what are listed in our news channels.
high profile elite society us returned rich listings met with dreaded terrorism is what is highlight of this case… why dont we mourn equally for all cases… all i said was softness and love and tenderness of a babe should be pointed out asbewuty is to appreciate.. my english not good but my point is clear.. i love tarishi and i hate her killers as much as i hate all those who follow terr…
Any post about Swati murder case ?
@Navneet unlike some of the others here, i do not feel there is any ‘need’ for this topic to be deleted.
nor i can say that you should not have started it. sometimes the world does need to talk or be made aware of certain things.
i am thankful that you chose to share it with dimers, though it only presents the grim and gruesome realities of our species.
as for eskimo’s comment too,
just like in society at large, we let all kinds of people be and sometimes put up with them.
i suppose, that comment should not be treated any differently.
it still is purely the person’s choice if they want to retract it. s/he already tried to justify it.
FARAAZ Ayaaz was offered a release, but he instead chose to remain back with the friends (one of them Tarishi) with whom he had gone to the Holey Artisan Bakery and finally all were killed by the a**holes.

didn’t check any of the links till now, felt too hollow and shallow and couldn’t do it.
tried to check the fitst/only link in this topic, but it is somehow returning a blank page for me. (but i do not have a FB login so that might be it)

can not and will not stop. so long as we exist and evolve as a species we will have all kinds of ideologies or mutations.
it would not eliminate the bad and retain the good alone.
agree to your point about ‘ears to the ground’ (grass-roots level) intelligence and also surveillance.
till there are physical human hands/support or infiltration in such groups or in general people reporting what they find odd/alarming
there is practically no way to protect all the soft targets !

I think good education system and easy employment would help to fight terrorism.
Those who attacked Holey Artisan Bakery cafe , were studied in Bangladesh’s elite and top School.
Every day thousands of girls in our country ..which belong to our very own country are dying b’coz of hunger and other problems and not only that hundreds are getting molested and harassed but still i have never seen any paper and forum which are making headlines of this issue forget about even mourning ….But a girl studying in US ..belongs to a well off family …died in some other country ….and ppl and especially MEDIA are mourning …deeply and gravely….WHAT a irony of this country ….our countrymen have deep sympathy for ppl killed which have some kind of connection with india but don’t have time to think about our own girls forget about mourn ,,for the very own our ppl….“INDIA KI BETI” …died….never seen this kind of headline ..when a poor girl which belongs to our very own country dies in some corner …… of our country….:-{
