I am not going to flash any other build that messes with the recovery ! Also have to use this as daily driver Can’t experiment on this Anyways this is awesome news !! CM build with custom kernel would be awesome on this device !! Can’t ask for anything better !!!

friends I am having trouble connecting my mi3 to pc wifi hotspot, I have wireless data card with gsm sim, I can create wifi hotspot on pc with windows, mi3 detects the network and also can connect to it but no browsing happens, tried with 3rd party apps like virtual hotspot and mhotspot, result same , only few bytes gets transferred, on the other hand when I put that same gsm sim in mi3 and create wifi hotspot to tether it on pc, it works awesome, but not pc to mi3 way, made a thread on official miui india too still asking here, have done lot searching on net and not only mi3 but lots brands androids having this problem, any solution?
Any suggestion on screen guard? This ( http://www.ebay.in/itm/Nillkin-Tempered-Glass-H… ) seems good.

go into security app-data-restrict than on top right corner there is a round tab click it submennu will open data which is on, & wifi please make it on, go back to restrict than enable browser to use wifi & other apps which you want to use wifi data thats it

My friend got the phone yesterday. With the hardware wise pricing is great but holding the phone in hand is not comfortable. Edges are sharp and phone is not slim as I was thinking, slightly bulky too without any cover. With cover surely weight will be on higher side and will not be comfortable if used as a phone in long run. Also the way flipcart and xiaomi are treating the indian customers is not ethical. With only releasing small numbers it seems they are testing patience of Indian customers. Had a great admiration for xiaomi but seeing all this launch fiasco and seeing the phone not anymore.
Received 23 OTA. Will update in evening. Anyone updated.?

He even apologised to all, and said that they are doing their best to provide us at the earliest, but they have manufacturing restraints, as their facility is not so big.
Also, the overwhelming response is the prime reason why they have not yet announced any release date for Redmi 1S. They are manufacturing Redmi 1s for first sale, and will launch more than 50,000 Redmi 1S for the first sale.

As one can see in the screenshot my phone is crashing with the above message whenever I listen music with default music player or browse it’s playlist. After that mobile touch doesn’t response at all, after that only way to get the phone work is to press power button for few seconds, then the phone will reboot and it will start working normal again till I start the default music player.
For others information this problem was there with 16, 18 and now 22 miui version does any one else also facing the same Problem? . Also I have tried clearing data from system ui app and reset the phone twice but it didn’t helped at all.
Can any one help me on this

As this is not an issue with any headset. And while flashing the above Full ROM go to your recovery , Wipe data, Wipe Cache and then clean flash ! Do not forget wiping data ! Please post your results once you do this.
Instead of flashing v18.0 ROM you can also flash v23.0 from here :-

Also does the same thing happen with any other music player ?? And what is the extension of the music file you are trying to play ? .mp3 , .flac , .aac etc etc !!!

I have updated miui version to 23 through ota

Can you capture logcat output and upload it somewhere ?? If you can capture logcat and i can look at what is causing the issue !!! Request to clean your cache and data and then flash by downloading the full ROM from the link i mentioned below. Such issues are usually left due to the leftovers of incorrect flashes . Can you take the pains to try it once or may be post a logcat ? for using logcat you have to download minimal ADB installer.

Then open cmd on windows and type adb logcat. (You have to enable Android debugging in Development settings ! ) then open you music player on the phone adb will get the crash logs . To Once crash occurs you can exit adb with t he command exit.
Also list what apps you have installed presently on the system !

That is the reason why released v23 OTA today for MI3 . It actually disables Cloud Messaging by Default (you could enable it again ! ) Also the phone numbers are now by default encrypted. All these changes in V23 OTA.
