Do not order aluminium case for mi3. They have reception problem as suggested by others.

How are they building roms when kernel source is not available or is their some generic kernel for snapdragon chips?

They use stock kernel build ROMs, so there won’t be kernel features.

They use pre-built kernel insert hooks into the system and make it work But MI 3 kernel sources will be available shortly so expect kernel modifications in future builds !

yesterday night I updated my phone to v23(stable) and its been 12 hours and this is the 5th time I need to reboot it using power key…as its get hang….I mean when i try to unlock device nothing appears in my screen only light of key gets on… then after sometime when screen appear its appears with black background and touch stopped working….which made me to reboot it….anybody facing the same problem ?

This problem is caused due to left over data mismatching with your current ROM (due to left over data ! ) Boot to recovery , Wipe your cache and reboot back ! It should work fine !

I am on stable version of 16.0, and the ph working fine except light notification..sometimes it works sometime not..bro as u said clean flash, does that mean if i download the stable 23 version and placed it on the phone and update using updater by selecting the 591 mb file? Or is there any other method.

Also, is 23 version is good in all respect i am mean without any bug?
Can i root this version?
Or should i wait for miui v6?

Flsh v23. i have used it ! Its pretty stable for me .Notification light problem is fixed. you can update it through updater app as you have said. You can root v23.

Akshat bhai plz help-

I am consistenly facing network problems with my mi3.

I am using vodafone 3g sim in it and leave about 3g, even 2g works rarely. Many a times there is no range at all and it shows sim has not been boundeek . Don’t know what it means.

Even i tried bnsl 3g, but again the same problem. I feel there is some defect as the same sim gets 3g connection in my samsung s duossad .

I am very sad and confused. Plz help me.

Using this phone since First slot.
1. Phone is just awesome in range of 14k
2. Just a little issue is regarding PC Suit. after update to kxdmibf22.0 my Pc Suit is not able to recognize my phone now.
3. Camera Quality is Just awesome.

installing CWM depends upon your choice ! It depends on which recovery you want to you ! There is no specific need to install CWM to root your device . Just have to install the files given from the above link and enable root permissions in Security app.

update to KXDMIBF23.0 . It solves the PC suite issue !

Hi, received my xiaomi mi3 yesterday after lots of failed attempts to buy one. Initially didn’t think of buying but because of the media hype changed my mind. Thought of keeping it as my secondary device to be back in touch with android.

I have been an android use from doughnut days but since one year switched to iPhone 5s. I like smallish footprint phones. Knew that mi3 is too big. But apart from size factor, I am underwhelmed by it in many things. Bezels too big. Screen much below par (not talking about resolution PPI) in terms of quality, contrast, blacklight etc. Relatively fast android but there are bits of stutter and lags here and there. Gave it to my brother today and started using his moto g.
I can say that after using both the phones, I would choose moto g over it any day.
Thinking of selling it and buying a moto g/x as my secondary phone.
But it’s definitely good value for money for people who like big phones and keep only one device with them.

there is no leg in phone in short its mind blowing phone
