My brand new Mi3’s ‘Play Store’ wont connect. Updated to stable ROM. Cleared cache & data of play store app. Removed google account & logged in again. Installed latest version of play store apk. Still no luck. rest all google apps are working fine. Plz Dont suggest factory reset (as I heard others lost all google app installation) and I dont want to loose warranty by rooting. Plz help.

I just found rooting dose not void warranty. But is there any sure shot way to get this working?

Same happen with me when I bought Optimus g. I used same Gmail account which is used in my recent Android. Then I created new Gmail account and used it in play store. It worked for me. You can give it a try.

Will try.. but changing email address to get it working sounds a bit odd to me as I want to use my same id.

Your playstore currently would be 4.8.20 version. Uninstall your playstore from the phone. Clean Cache of google Play services .
Now install playstore from here :-

Your playstore currently would be 4.8.20 version. Uninstall your playstore from the phone. Clean Cache of google Play services .
Now install playstore from here :-

Tried above steps with no luck. Tried older versions of playstore also. Tried with 3G & WiFi. When I enter password for playstore it dose log me in for gmail & other apps. Even in playstore search field when I type something , it shows me predictive apps but otherwise the playstore app is empty with “No Connection – Retry” in the middle.

• How to post a screenshot here? No attach button here(I am a newbie and writing from PC).

Have you enabled 2 step verification?

Thanks for the help bro. Single password only. I am able to login with other devices(new). But not in my MI3.

Between did you try a factory reset ?? Please try a factory reset before you do anything else !!! It should solve most of the issues !

Sometimes I charged 4 paise for using maps and Facebook .. Even though I’m on wifi and data is disabled … Does anyone know how to solve?

You should talk to your Telecom provider. By any chance is your connection IDEA? Today they deducted 236rs from my account claiming that i used 3g from 4:00AM at night. Infact 3g was turned off in my mobile then.

From last couple of days i was wondering if i should go ahead and root my Phone. Im not the kind of user who plays around with the phone a lot however as per the reports online there are advantages of rooting like ad free apps etc. Is that true?

Once you root you can remove ad from any apps using standard hosts blocker apps like :-

Which gives you add free experience ! You could tons of apps which require root permissions to work !
Lot of customization to your device ! Besides rooting MI3 does not lead to losing warranty like other vendors So no problems on that front

olx par bech do. make your cell phone sell phone.

This is the screenshot so that you can judge the quality even when HQ is selected. I also wonder why there are no such option to select 360p, 480p, 720p etc in the app.
