Congrats on you purchase bhai, its an excellent DSLR.
Btw infibeam.com released another offer giving 5% off using IBDW2011CM1 effective from today 8pm.
this coupon seems to give a discount of Rs 3000 on d7000 which I believe is the max capping, so its Rs 1000 cheaper than your price.
nonetheless you got an excellent price
Thanks for your wishes Pappu Dimer!
Thanks for sharing the new code IBDW2011CM1 with the community. Any idea till when is it valid?
I thought Infibeam gave me the best price with their My Magic Box coupon and I got so excited about it. I had 24 hours to use the coupon. I trust Infibeam.com because they give excellent magic box deals and I have placed 10 orders with them in the past. I unluckily placed my order 1 hour before this coupon came out.
Since I want the best deak, I quickly mailed them and called them to cancel my order after reading your post. I hope they will give me the best price and honour their cancellation policy which is mentioned here:
http://www.infibeam.com/static/help/payment-ret...
I cancelled the order within an hour of placing it. Also I have mailed them that I want to re-order the same camera so they need not worry about loosing their sale or any restocking fee issues.
I stand to loose only a grand but I can pin my hopes on Infibeam that they will not disappoint me.

seems like u could hav saved another 1000 if u were late by 2 hours
@ neo479 bro,
I still can get the best price and I hope Infibeam.com cancels my order in accordance to their policy and allows me to place a fresh order or somehow give me the best price of 63,990 !

ur welcome i think its a wise decision to go for D7000 over D90, always better to go for later products and as u mentioned video is not a big consideration so D7000 defi is the best choice especially at this price.
Try to download a video tutorial or ebook explaining the use of the D7000, it really helps to master it quickly and take great pics on manual mode.
Thanks thumsup for your tips. Please keep sharing tips and help me start my DSLR journey!

Waise this magic box thing is what? I add to the magic box and wait for a coupon? If they are interested they will give? Asking because never shopped on Infibeam
Yes you add some product to your magic box and wait for Infibeam.com to give you a discount coupon which according to them is the best price.
If they don’t reply after 72 hours, the request expires and you need to add it again and wait.
@ anthrax.ut , what to say the photo has such a funny and cute quality! LOL!
Kudos to you! The snap is “Three” Cool!

Bhai the coupon is valid from 13th to 15th Oct 2011 between 8pm to 8am.
I hope infibeam.com honours the cancellation and facilitates the purchase with the new price.
My best wishes with you. BTW this price is within the bracket you had earlier thought of!!
Please do post a review of the product once you receive it.
I would love to see how much better is the picture quality of the product over my D5100.
Good luck bro!
They have won a life-long loyal customer in me.
About their Customer Service
They have a Customer Service which is a cut above the rest. They refunded my money after I requested them to give me the best deal that came on their website moments after I had placed my order! The whole process of explaining them my issue was painless and they were willing to help me out and give me 100% Customer Satisfaction.
Many services talk about 100% Customer Satisfaction but how many of them ensure it? InfiBeam.com has set an example by refunding the excess amount I paid in light of the better deal available on their website moments after I had placed my order.
Vote of Thanks
I spoke to 3 customer service representatives over the phone at InfiBeam.com. I would like to thank all 3 especially Amina for her proactive help and multiple follow-ups to keep me informed of the status of my refund request. Amina is a gem of a person. Thanks a lot!

Congrats Kage .
do post us about ur experience when u recieve ur product.
and by the way it was nice that u dropped D90 for D7000 . why ? see http://snapsort.com/compare/Nikon_D7000-vs-Nik....

I’ll keep this thread live with my feedback and photos from D7000. I had gone through that comparison and decided not to go with D90. I am so lucky that my ZoomIn transaction for the D90 failed 6 times!
BTW, I feel that snapsort.com is a good site to review Nikon Cameras but when you start comparing Nikon with Canon, this site is heavily biased in favour of Nikon in my opinion!

I was the First to tell you about this site in one of your earlier post remember
I could not say about the Biasness
but as far as Digicams are concerned my personal experience with Nikon is better than Canon and i personally prefer nikon . I had bought my Nikon after number of comparison of pics online , reviews , Blogs , comments and what not. .. Glad to be a nikon customer Fan.
Nikon and Canon noth Japanese are unarguably the LEaders in Camera business.
and after your shopping of D7000.
Welcome to the Nikon Family

Words from a Nikon loyalist I guess!!
I agree that Nikons are class-leading as far as DSLR photography is concerned, however, please don’t generalize by saying digicams.
Canon produces the best point and shoots on the planet (along with Sony) and if you consider people buying DSLR vs point and shoots the ratio would be heavily biased towards point and shoots.
BTW I also own a Nikon DSLR and am extremely happy with it )
Thanks for welcoming me to the Nikon family danofindia157 bro! Yes you were the first to suggest the website as well as Nikon D7000 right over here:
http://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/t…
@ Pappu Dimer +1
My experience says that Canon point-and-shoot are superior to Nikon point-and-shoot.
So buy a Nikon DSLR and a Canon Point-and-shoot (or Sony point-and-shoot is also great!)
If you are a pro DLSR user, Canon is preferred.
@Pappu no Bro i am not generalizing . i just said my personal experience with nikon Digicam is better than canon.
Actually i have used Sony cybershot W190 (it sucks badly but may be its just this model)
Canon Sx210 (some other canon models too from friends but forgot the model name) in moderate or low light the skin color was unnatural awful
Nikon S8100 perfect and satisfied as of now.
hence the Loyalists comment
By the way lets not debate on the superiority of Nikon or Canon or Sony or anyother . its just that some camera models are better than others and so is everyones experience
and glad to hear that all three of us from the same Nikon Family
cheers..
