It just came to my notice that a smarta$$ is re-selling Yebhi’s goods including Flippers@199 on eBay.

This is bound to happen when people order 50-100 and more orders just because its free.
Very few people think of donating the wealth which they got illegaly and immoraly.
Most of them want to CASHIN on the opportunity.:-{

Nothing wrong in selling what you own, whatever way you may have got it, I will give away every slipper i got from yebhi to the needy, already gave four to yebhi delivery guy , around 20 ordered.

the point kage01 wanted to make was that a few pple order multiple quantities of these items for them to resell… this leads to such promotions ending pretty soon and some genuine buyers not able to buy even a single quantity 
if u order some 50 slippers and give them away to the poor, its fine… buy if u buy 50 slippers to resell them for Rs.30, thats not good!! 
^yes Neo479, that’s why I posted this as an example because promotions are abused by re-sellers and the genuine customers take a hit on Desi Dime.
The eBay seller I have pointed out may not be following Desi Dime at all but is definitely subscribed to Yebhi’s daily coupon mail/sms.
If more people follow Desi Dime, then they can buy stuff cheaper. This is the first point I want to make.
There are two groups on Desi Dime. One are the re-sellers and the other genuine customers.
I have seen some people who only ask for coupons on Desi Dime and in turn they never contribute to the community. They are most probably re-sellers. I don’t have anything against them but they don’t deserve anything without paying their dues to the community. They are responsible for deals expiring before time.
The people who contribute to Desi Dime should get the benefit of deals before any re-seller. This is the second point I want to make.
If you order 5 instead of 50 you are a genuine customer? Whether you order 50 to give away or to resell you still have a selfish motive behind it, you give away to get good karma for yourself , if you werent selfish you would order just one , how many did all of you above order? 
All of you would order 50 too if you could, you just dont have the patience or balls to do it, dont be hypocrites

It’s funny that you are defining a genuine customer as one who only orders 1 quantity of some article. LOL
On the other hand I agree that people who claim to donate items for the needy are getting good karma for themselves but that act is better than using up all deals for your monetary benefit. At-least their donated items help the needy more than a single person.

Well this so called eCommerce boom in India is all gonna change.
We all know, Taggle was the recent casualty of this eCommerce bubble in India who couldn’t thrive one full year of successful operation. I am not gonna reveal much about it for now but grapevine has it that all these “e-tail” seed funding, angel funding and promotions and all of that could cease all of a sudden in some months to come coz of the situation and competition that they are facing from the many players in the eCommerce market space today.
The reason being for this is pretty simple, the promotion run by these websites was to induce our trust in buying from them and get us to like them and be their customers, but with the kind of attitude these so called “bottom scrapers”(that is us) have developed, it’s definitely not the kind of substantial and sustained growth that these e-commerce sites expected out of us in order for them to thrive and make money at the same time, with bottom scrapers like us who keep switching sides as the offers come by, that’s never gonna happen either.This is the problem they say is with the Indian Market and Customers. It’s always the price no matter what. 
These sites are only making it appear that they are doing really well but that’s just while the investors money lasts with them, after that, if they fcuk up, it’s “Taggle time” for them as well. I still can’t believe that investors are investing to the tune of US $52 Million(195 crores) as in the case of letsbuy, 40 million into Yebhi, 5 million is what Indiaplaza got, and many many more. What these investment firms do is they expect at least one of these sites to hit the jackpot for them and they could cut their losses from the rest of their misadventures.
The only one’s who could thrive and grow in the eCommerce business in the years to come are the heavy hitters who also own offline stores as well like Futurebazaar for example. Rest all are an illusory presented to the eyes of their investors it seems.Do not give out the plain truth, instead just cook up the balance sheets the way they wanna see it.
After they are done with their investors money, they show them the “Finger”. Only a few like Flipkart, Snapdeal etc etc manage to keep their investors happy at the end of the day. BTW Flipkart is gonna be officially valued as a $1 Billion company, in net sales, real soon it seems.The first of it’s kind in India they say.
But there’s no denying that it’s the buyer who gets to make a cut no matter who’s side he’s on coz of these promotions and the funding received for it.
But going by the mentality of “bottom scrapers” aka buyers, looks like these eCommerce sites sure have a tough competition of “survival of the fittest”, to beat here.

Kage, maybe now that we found each other and know each other pretty good, we should all make an invitation only group on Facebook and share deals amidst ourselves only. I know it is such a menace on DD that deals do not even last a few hours now after being posted.
So what do those merchant websites do about it, they promote their deals only via the sites that are banned by DD,like KG,Upto,Snapdeal etc etc if you have noticed. Coz that way they are at least sure that the promotion would last a little longer. Imagine if every merchant were to catch on with this trend of giving out offers only to the sites that DD has banned themselves. Anyways!
But yeah a hot offer posted on DD has a much quicker expiry date than anticipated.
That’s the reason why sometimes we mustn’t give out and expose the tricks to get the best deals in India, in the open.
I am sure lot’s of tricks do not even get shared on DD for the same reason that we’ll all kill it. Just the few privileged get to know of them.

“Bottom Scrapers” is a good word for buyers like us. In this war some websites have emerged to gain genuine customers like FlipKart, Infibeam & FutureBazaar.
They have stuck to their guns and the customers have shown them love.

There are probably very few resellers here but mostly from the posts here we can see that its what you call “genuine customers” who are responsible for most deals ending quickly. The main reason deals dont last long is simply that DD has become very popular, there are a lot more users here than they used to be & most just lurk without registering.

We know each other pretty well by now unlike people here who claim to know most others here LOL. I kind of like the idea you have brought forward. There is a new league of DD users who want to have all the deals without moving their butt. The website performance is degrading by the onslaught of new users who are here just for the deals. I don’t think it is a sustainable model to have more leechers than seeders.
There are no measures in place to ensure that the real contributors get the benefit of their work hunting deals and helping people. The new members are here 24×7 to loot away the deals. WTF

I have never even mentioned you specifically in any of my posts, i dont know why you are so touchy , it is you who told me to read your definition of genuine customer here “revisit my definition of a genuine customer” , as i posted earlier its not only dimes which are the motivation for posting these deals , attention seeking is another reason , This is a website which is visited by tens of thousands of people who are looking for these deals everyday and people are wondering why deals arent lasting long for the “genuine customers” lol .
