I don’t know how many of you have heard of it. I got to know today so sharing for others benefit.

Another good read is this, how to practice caution when you are buying protein supplement next time.

This is a serious issue. If US companies are doing it then what about the Indian ones, we have almost non-existent food quality verification system.

@DealSeeker would like to hear your views. Have been discussing with some other supplement users and they seem very adamant that these big brands can’t do anything of this sort and FDA would have taken strict measure if this would happen.

Those “supplement users” seem to be unaware of the fact that FDA has no ruling over the supplement companies. The fact is, in the US (and this is probably true for India as well), you or I can make supplements in our homes and sell them without getting any certification! In fact, this is how a lot of supplement companies get started.

I personally know someone living in Central Jersey (won’t name the town) who makes and packages brain-boosting supplements in his kitchen. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

Every self-respecting, experienced bodybuilder is aware of the fact of spiking. I have been consuming protein powders for more than a decade and I have encountered a few spiked products in my journey. I have already shared one such experience here: http://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/t...

Thanks for posting this and trying to make people aware about the truth.

Edit: By the way, I am so glad that I never tried MusclePharm. I always suspected something was wrong with their aggressive pricing. Another seemingly big brand available in India that I totally distrust is Dymatize. I should also mention that my preferred brands are ON and Ultimate Nutrition. I have also tried the Indian brand MuscleBlaze. Although I disliked the taste of their protein, I don’t think they are cheating as far as the ingredients and the protein content are concerned.

Yes, though these products are not approved by FDA but FDA has certain rules to which every US food/supplement and medicines have to comply to. Like the the claims they put on their labels, they should be lab tested and accurate.

I don’t vouch for any company but Dymatize like ON is owned by a dairy giant so spiking doesn’t make sense for them. I used Dymatize Elite XT for about 3-4 months and it didn’t feel spiked.

Frankly, I don’t have any experience regarding an electric griller. I have a microwave which works as griller too. Beside, from what I hear those electric grillers are not worth it. Depending upon your propose you can look into an OTG instead. If you get a good deal on an OTG do tell me too please.

I use butter/oil but it won’t exactly work as a grill toaster.
