this pricing was expected as it launched in singapore for nearly same price also MI3 was expected, snapdragon 800 + adreno 330 at this price is awesome Also miui is like extra topping.
Xiaomi is quite relaible and famous brand in china, they refer it as Apple of China 
they will also launch Mi3s & Mi4 in India.

Bro there is miles difference in a quality of a Xolo and MI read the reviews on xiaomi on XDA !! You will not be disappointed !
Xolo play MTK 6591 Processor (Far Far Far inferior than Snapdragon 800) + Mali 450 @600Mhz (How can you even compare that with adreno 330 performance !!! ) + 8mp rear camera !!! I guess that settles which is better !!
