Got my TV installed today (it was delivered on Monday, but since I was not at home got the installation scheduled for today). For the price I paid its great, but then when compared to my older Samsung H5100 40" TV, I felt the brightness or contrast is a bit less. Tried Netflix and it worked great, played HD content without issues.
Connected my FireTV stick 4K and that worked flawlessly too.
Had one question regarding extended warranty, thought will opt for one through Jeeves and I asked the installation person and in his app it showed up as 3499 Rs, but on their website when I give the price range as Rs 30k – 40k its only Rs 3070. Then I called up Jeeves customer care and I was told the price should be given as mentioned in the invoice. So in the invoice the price is only Rs 27,xxx and the extended warranty for two years only comes to Rs 2340, which seems pretty good.
Anybody has more insights into this?
I’m also thinking to opt extended warranty from jeeves.. Aen theru reliable.. If you opt from then let me know the price they quoted.. TIA

Your phone and TV should on same network and no need to use t cast all casting supported apps shows symbol but if u wana mirror phone then need to setup Google home apps

Installing this update now, hopefully it works fine.
Just had to extract the file to a USB drive, connect to the USB 2.0 port (the one on top) and use the local system update option. It verifies the update package and asks whether to proceed or not.
Mine took around 10 min and it’s now starting up. The TV came with V387 of the firmware.
So the V528 update went through fine, UI has changed obviously, but other than that not much of a difference.
Other forums suggest Prime Video app works on V528, I’m about to try it, if it does I’d be able to repurpose the Fire TV stick to my old 40" TV.
I am on default 7.0 os and airtel tv and Amazon prime apps installed fine. Airtel tv works fine too initially works in portrait mode but once channel is selected it works well
Right now I am unable to install prime and jiotv getting error although I m instaling though es file explorer
If i upgrade to oreo will i lose all apps?
Why don’t the tv companies themselves provide extended warranty by taking money from customers? Why do we need to depend on 3rd party companies for this.
I have read so many dissatisfied customer reviews for jeeves and onsite go online. The only easy process is buying the warranty, and when you need it they just give lame reasons and reject your claim. And customer just ends up in a loop of calling emailing tweeting etc.

I just experienced odd behavior. Don’t know if i need to be worried.
Just very lightly tap the TV on the edges with the remote while tv is on.
I observed bright patches when i tap (not on the display, just the metal frame) . Where ever i tap i see bright patches around 3 inches wide.
Is this normal?

Extended warranty from Flipkart is provided by jeeves but they are quoting more than jeeves website.. So I think it is better to buy extended warranty directly from jeeves website and save some money..
My tv was delivered on Sunday in Hyderabad …bought a crt from olx for 1500 for the exchange… Process was smooth and the delivery guy took one minute video …. No further questions asked … !

I’m getting this black dots(like dead pixels) in the upper left corner in my new TV.. I’m getting this only in star channels and not in any other channel.. Ran a pixel test video from YouTube and it was fine to… Worried a bit now, should I go for replacement…

I get similar white strips at the bottom on some non HD channels at times. No issues with other channels and all HD channels.

Nope, I guess it’s to do with the channel specifically or something. Doesn’t bother me.
When I connect the TV to Hotspot from my mobile it connects but says
“connected, no Internet” sometimes it will work for a minute and then again give this error. There is exclamation mark on the WiFi icon.
Are any of you facing this problem.
When I connect to WiFi from fiber cable connection it has no problem at all.

I found an app that forces the tv to be in landscape mode.
This helps in forcing some apps like airtel Tv for example to be in landscape mode and hence easier to navigate. Tried multiple apps but this app working great for me and thought of sharing this.

Finally my TV was delivered after he inspected my old 14" sansui crt for fifteen minutes.. He was finding all small reasons to reject the TV.. But had to reply for all of his doubts… He said all accessories are needed and took the remote too.. He showed me a video of another crt which was completely fine but he had rejected it previously today
