Awesome deal on this laptop.
The chassis of Fujitsu Laptops are quite poor. It didn’t even last for 5 months for me. Cracked near the hinges.
Very good deal, voted up & suggested for FPD.

You are talking about this very same model with i3 5th generation processor?
asking as planning to buy one today & will appreciate reviews.
Reviews are not tht positive.. One should think about care centers before buying ..
Are LAP18 and LAP20 on the way ??:-P
I seriously want to buy one. Reviews on Amazon and Flipkart are positive. However, people have complaints on its maintenance cost.
But i do believe Japnese make should be a good one, and i should go for it than a Chinese make

Yes I also heard that the plastic is kind of cheap material. Even I wanted to buy it but not willing anymore. Some people also complain about the mouse.

Really good build quality can be expected in the range 35k and above.
agreed. this are not the things that one plays with. heating, performance, life span are the main parameters.
Plus I don’t think 1 USB port, that too USB 2 is sufficient for today scenarios.

Yes, the build quality is super, it is not made of cheap plastic. I bought it a month ago and this is a super deal, under 20K.

Thats good to know. I have not come across this model yet. I had based my comment on the sentiments expressed by the other members in this thread. Just like one swallow does not make a summer, this exception does not invalidate it. BTW did you solve your Wifi drivers issue?
@Magus
Yes, there may be rare cases where the laptop mail fail but in general I think most of the dimers are very happy with this Laptop.
My wifi driver issue is solved, actually there wasn’t any issue. The wifi switch was not ON, hence it was not detecting the wifi. It was solved after simply pressing Fn+F5 key.

specs are wrongly mentioned…it has 3 x USB 3.0
My only reason for not buying is the screen size since I have to travel a lot

@saharamah
Yep! I can vouchsafe for that. Btw I own Lifebook A514, 4th gen of the same series and I do believe the build quality is same. 8 gb ram and 3 usb 3.0 parts under 20k for an i3 are the salient features of this laptop.
They don’t have any service centers in India. So they are providing on site warranty. And I was quoted 1 to 1.5 k for a visit (outside warranty). That’s pretty exorbitant. Also I asked for quotation for battery which is almost dead after just over 3 years. But they didn’t send that either. Dealer quoting 4k for 3rd party battery. That’s doesn’t make sense for a 20k laptop. Consider these issues before buying. No other apparent issues, other than the fact that battery does not fit very well and has a play and kind of creaks upon handling, giving a cheap feeling. This is about AH532. It says made in Germany, but it’s clearly made for 3rd world markets like ours. Don’t expect typical German or Japanese quality.

True! Even Acer and Asus are the better choices than this when it comes to the after sales service.
@silent6191 wrote:Don’t know about service, but a friend who deals in laptops says Acer is possibly amongst the most inferior in quality.

Fujitsu really needs to do something about the service part if it wants to succeed in India.
Anybody has any ideas about how to source battery for Fujitsu AH532? Else I would consider replacing the laptop rather than spending 4k on third party battery.
Had to move this to popular section as it was available at better price
