Weird bank. If Netbanking isn't used for a year the User ID is disabled and to reactivate they send the Printed Password via courier only. Just Rs 180+18%GST is charged. Must be sending a ton of paperwork.

Yup. After wasting time trying various options to unlock/re-enable the User ID/reset password at the very end I was informed that the User ID is disabled. I tried it's mobile app, Vyom to check if it could serve as an alternative to Netbanking or not but so far there doesn't seem to be any option to apply for a new debit card variant even which was the main requirement. Recently had an equally poor experience with Canara bank. These banks make SBI look like a paragon of efficiency.

I feel all PSBs are same. And their pathetic employee interactions.

All of them have issues with internet banking. They want us to be hooked to the branch.

Advantages of having salary account NONE, instead lots of headaches, quarrels.

Have citi bank account till now i haven't visited the branch or bank person visited me. Everything is online without trouble even unlimited cash withdrawal provided so that customer shall not visit bank.

Where as PSBs even for a small transactions statement you have to visit the bank and request the almighty employee to print passbook since internet banking sucks with too many passwords with their own password requirements (like should have captial, should not have special symbol WTF), 1 login password, 1 transactions password both should not be same.

I always forgot 🤣 those passwords as my memory is not well designed to retain them.

Considering all these better to go with good private bank.

I had similar or worst experience with another PSU bank - Punjab National Bank. After wasting more than a year on visits to bank, lost all hope. Instead changing my bank account everywhere from this bank and then I'll close it

Yes. My parents had opened accounts with these PSU banks decades ago back when due to various reasons there was no other way.

I had contacted UBI on Twitter regarding their ridiculous policy w.r.t. Netbanking. They asked me to send an email to their email customer care. No email address had been registered earlier and it's highly likely that will not entertain any emails other than from the registered email address. For this trivial matter as well a branch visit is necessary since Netbanking is disabled and no such option in the mobile banking app either.

Twitter support asked to contact their email team. After a week of no response they then requested to call their helplines. If there's no extension to Rupay Platinum DC offer on Amazon I won't need require Netbanking facility anyway. If it weren't for father's PPF account  and the  tedious process to move it elsewhere I would have asked him to close the account with this ridiculous bank by now.

Here’s another gem: Logged into Vyom app for the first time ever and ever and the app was showing account details of someone else! 5 transactions worth Rs 2k each on the same day to Adani Gas. Only after  logging out it was resolved.
