Revision of ACE Credit Card Terms and Conditions
With effect from 15th June, 2023, following revisions will be applicable on your ACE Credit Card: 1. All the purchases (minus returns and refunds) made by you using the Card will be eligible for rewards as provided below: Spends on Reward Max cashback Bill payments (electricity, Cashback water, gas, LPG, and broadband), DTH and mobile recharges through Google Pay 5% Cashback Rs. 500 (on transactions made on these categories combined) Swiggy, Zomato and Ola 4% Cashback Other merchants* 2% Cashback Unlimited *Cashback shall not be eligible on fuel spends, EMI transactions, purchases converted to EMI post facto, wallet loading transactions, cash advances, rental payment, purchase of gold/jewellery items, insurance premium payments, educational services, payment of outstanding balances, payment of card fees and other card charges. For example, If the customer spends Rs. 35,000 in a billing cycle with the following break up of spends –  Recharge & Utility Bill payment through Google Pay: Rs. 5,000  Swiggy, Zomato & Ola: Rs. 10,000  Other spends on eligible cashback categories: Rs. 20,000 Out of these “Other spends”, Rs. 10,000 was an EMI purchase. Thus, the total spends eligible for cashback would only be Rs. 5,000 + Rs. 10,000 + Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 10,000 (EMI transaction) = Rs. 25,000 The cashback for the billing cycle in example would be calculated as follows:  5% of Rs. 5,000 = Rs. 250  4% of Rs. 10,000 = Rs. 400  2% of Rs. 10,000 = Rs. 200 Since the combined cashback earned on 5% and 4% cashback eligible transactions is capped at Rs.500, the cashback credited for these categories will be Rs. 500 and not Rs.650 Thus, the total cashback for the example would be Rs. 500+200 = Rs. 700 2. Education service payments will not be eligible for cashback. 3. Cashback earned in a statement cycle is credited against the outstanding of the next monthly statement. An SMS will be sent every month which has the total amount of cashback earned in that statement. SMS of cashback earned won’t be sent after every transaction Screenshot2023-05-05-10-36-03-45e2d5b3f32b79de1d45acd1fad96fbb0f

Excluding money rotation and trick experts like @abhishek012 , for quick and easy cashback/savings, RuPay Platinum DC offer on bill payments (despite killing of the offer for Add Money) remains king due to heavy devaluation or cappings on credit cards smile

Got the message today morning. Saddened but my Ace usage was less as way too many errors with Gpay. In 1 year, i utilised maybe 4 times, so not much affected.

HDFC Neu infinity is my go to card and have been able ro get 2.5k coins every month since Jan.

This devaluation is because of people trying to act cleverly and misuse the credit card, and worst of all, post tricks in forums and the cycle goes on and on. What did they expect? That it will be forever? You guys devalued SBI too.

And I was fussing about my Ace CC application not getting approved confused

Let's say we pay bills on gpay for 10k per month to get 500 cashback

We will only be able to spend 1.2L, and as we do not meet the 2L spend, we need to pay 500+18%GST

This card can be used in other places too not just electricity bill payment.

It's almost impossible to get this card now. unless you are pre approved for it in the app

Earlier was it unlimited 5% ??

Critic Critic

Theoretically, yes. Practically, google pay stopped fetching/allowing electricity bills of more than 20-25k citing some technical issue etc since last few months/year but yes in initial months ppl paid even 1 lakh electricity bill on google pay using ace & got the 5% cb.

This applies from 15th June, Sot the transactions done before the date will get unlimited cashback on utility payments right? Can anyone clarify

Critic Critic
Link Copied
What's there to clarify, when date is mentioned it means any txn that gets "settled"(not the date of txn done) before that will fetch 5% unlimited cb.

Now atleast Axis should make this Card LTF.

Now next card to limit unlimited cashback will be Flipkart Axis, then Amazon pay, then Tata HDFC neu and list goes on

2% on all means, even for offline transactions they used to give 2%? OMG, I have been using Amazon ICICI card for all offline txns. Tried applying for Axis FK for 1.5%, but the application didn't go through for reasons best known to Axis bank... Never knew there was a 2% card for offline txns.

What other cards give more than 1% actual cashback (not points) on offline txns?

Axis ace was probably the most difficult card to get till recently(not sure after this devaluation) & the only way to get it was either through pre-approved offer(only for axis bank acc holders) or through apply banner in your google pay(this still does not guarantee approval). Axis flipkart card can be applied via axis bank site or even via branch & much more chances of approval compared to ace card especially if you are salaried & have salary slips as income proof.
