Remember these bank may have coup crores from customers before RBI guidelines came in , also even now not everyone is doing complaint to ombudsman due to lack of knowledge or time required.
So if bank is giving few 1000s from those crores already seequzed from its customers it is just workable for them..
Is it valid for all... Like closing SB accounts as well??

In last 6 months I've received 5000 from Axis, 3000 from HDFC and 3000 from ICICI for delay in suppressing unauthorised enquiries from CIBIL.

My SBI card closure took 3+ months and multiple calls. But again after ~1 year I got sms from authentic SBI card's unique sms id about no balance (0.00). So, they did not close it completely. ( closed on receiving and never activated because they lied about Rs. 500 free big bazaar voucher (but again good as big bazaar closed soon after and reliance smart bazaar ppl say they dont know any if EasyDay or BigBazaar existed where they are standing, was always reliance smart even before universe formation😴).
I dont know or bother if they closed the card till I am get ting Rs. 0.00 due. All customer care just lie a lot, cards or bank or flipkart or airtel. ( And future A.I. chat/voice bots are learning n getting trained by these liars?)

Whats the tat bank gives to close a credit card
I had similar issues with Phonepe where my credit card bill was not paid by Phonepe despite the successful transaction. They refunded my amount after 18 days. Hence they had to pay a panelty as per RBI rules.
Private sector institutions will not pay you anything until you threaten them to reach RBI.

My axis cc request for closer done 2-3 year ago recently after checking experian score axis still shows active so I requested for noc and finally they give me noc of today's date as closed today what should I do now

When I wrote to Axis Bank email address <[email protected]> few months back asking to close my primary and add-on card, I did not receive any auto-acknowledgement nor any response later from them. After reminders, I finally gave up, as I got the feeling that my email has been marked as SPAM / Blocked / Filtered and filed an RBI Ombudsman complaint citing that my email has been blocked and my card was not closed within regulatory timeline. Now Axis Bank called me asking for original email requesting cancellation. I provided them that. They appeared to be surprised and that they did not receive the email. Has any one else faced similar complaint of their emails not reaching Axis Bank?

Mera housing par payment stuck gua hai . Abtak refund nahi aaya 62000 ka.. chargeback takes 8 week.. so it is ok to take that much time? 
Lagta hai 10 din ho gaye honge req dale . Reply to aaya hai.. confirm if want close.. i had asked for give me ltf or close.. they dojt want make ltf.. soch rahe reply me delay kar de.. more time delay more chance to gain xd
What all comes under mobile wallets? Is there any such rules for txns. done through Amazon/Paytm/mobikwik/freecharge, etc wallets?
Now don't start cancelling the Card by calling the Axis CC, it's not necessary that they will take such a long time for everyone. It was just an exceptional case. 😂

I also received a compensation of Rs. 14000 from Kotak for delay of 28 days in card closure, after i raised the issue on PGPORTAL.
